1-1If you have ever used one of those washers at a car wash you know she is lying. When the trigger is not squeezed a small amount of low pressure (trickle) water is shot out of the nozzle. This water will only travel a few feet in the form of a narrow beam. That is not what the video shows.

1-2Even in the crappy videos you can see the water is in a wide spray pattern (look at the water pattern hitting the wall and floor). This only happens when the water is being released at high pressure. If you doubt this pay attention next time you visit your local car wash. You will see this water pattern with any standard washer. And might I add this is how the nozzle was designed. That is how you know she is lying and DID squeeze the handle.

1-3As far as bruises or cuts go… a high powered washer can cause them but it won’t always cause them. Even if they didn’t cause signs of physical damage it can still hurt. Ever been sprayed with one of those things? That water stings!

I actually know Niurka and worked with her for almost a year in Florida. She was a caring young woman and at the time she was pregnant with the child in this video. I never heard about this 2 years ago but I know she was not the type to abuse anyone, let alone a child. From the other video not seen here, you can tell that the water is not on high pressure. These hoses constant spray water and only go to pull pressure when the trigger is pulled. As reports showed, the child was not harmed. - Joey

I think every family has different levels of discipline. When I threw a tantrum, my dad would give me a jab with his knuckle in the thigh and give me a charlie horse. I am a very strong believer in what is and is not child abuse and I even consider the belt or even spanking to be abuse, but considering the fact that the child in the video did seem to calm down, the fact that the woman who worked there just walked past, and the fact that if the child had been bleeding and hurt-which she would have been if that hose was on full blast or on at all for that matter-that the mom would be in jail right now and not being interviewed, I don't see this is child abuse.

The fact that someone walked past doesn't prove anything. But with those hoses, they spray at full pressure when you pull the trigger, then continue to spray a weak stream when you aren't pulling it, at least for a minute or so. Maybe that's what she means.
