Andre was the one and only person Vince wasn't allowed to 'get pissed' at for mistakes. Andre was Vince Sr.'s favorite and did several favors for Vince Jr. (i.e. Wrestlemania 3). Vince has often made it well known that Andre was tired and worn down and he had to beg Andre to come back, turn heel & face Hogan.

This was a pretty brilliant angle, and I have to say pretty traumatic for me as a young-teen Hulkamaniac at the time. It's amazing that the "imposter" wasn't seriously injured as Hogan threw him a bit past his target and DiBiase barely broke his fall. I'm trying to find the video of the post-match interview where Hogan's beside himself, not having much luck yet..
