Derrick May is a wonderful DJ, a true DJ, and a DJ's DJ. If only those who raise their hats and hands to come and go hacks like Tiesto and Deadmau5 could recognize the impact this man has had on the industry and his continued impact on dancefloors all over the world.  Respect given where it is due. His Mayday mix is still amazing, as is Strings of Life. Seems like we need to look backwards now to go forwards in Techno.

DM is so right. I'm not a Techno artist. I consider Techno a section of Electronic Music, just like Trance, House, Jungle etc.

Personally I'm pretty much Down Tempo and Trance. So I get real irritated when people take any electronic music and put it under an umbrella term of TECHNO and its not right.
