what a song. my father has the single of this. managed to get it from my mothers old pen pal who lived in germany! can't remember how long i've been listening to sweet for!
@1973WaveyDavey "The Answer" (1995) has all songs of "A" (1992), some seem to be bit different version (not sure). Apart from that, it has "X-Ray specs", "I don't want to say goodnight", and single version of "Do as I say".
I can only speak for myself, but i would have loved to hear Brian sing this song. You do know who Brian Connolly was, right? Andy Scott´s sweet is worth fuck all, as far as i´m concerned!!
@SilverTounge85 I do have a life, and it does´nt include you and your cheeky comments. You will never understand how i feel about the original Sweet, or why i made that comment. OK?
I'm glad to see this clip from Sweden, nearly from my hometown VÄXJÖ. They did an exellent consert at place called "Bella" after this TV broadcast. I was there and enjoyed every minute of that show...........Thanks a lot!!
X-Ray Specs is a single by Andy Scott's Sweet in 1991. The B-Side is "I Don't Want To Say Goodnight". The line-up is:Andy Scott-guitar,vocals, Mal McNulty-lead vocals, Jeff Brown, Bass, Steve Mann-guitar,keyboards and Bodo Schopf-drums. Andy's version of The Sweet performed X-Ray Specs live regularly throughout the 1990's.
The sad part with this video which was made in Sweden as i wrote earlier, was that in the interview, the band members was talking wery bad about Brian Connolys Sweet. They said that Brian Connolys Sweet was the horisontal verson(according to his alcoholic problems i suppose) and that this band instead was a band of friends. It hurts me that they talk that way of a former band member that together with Mick Tucker formed the Sweet from the beginning.
Andy should be wery greatuful of what Brian gave him instead of talking bad about him i think. RIP sweet Brian and Mick. But i think this song is great anyway...

Great song! That line-up rocked like hell and don't kill me Mal McNulty (now in Slade) is my favourite Sweet-singer ever! X-ray-specs was releases as a 3-track Maxi-Cd together with I don't want to say goodnight and Hellraiser!!!
My "Answer" to this video is MORE ANDY !!! and well done all :)

This song is also present on Andy Scott's Sweet 1995 studio album The answer, it may be easier to find than the original single

This video is from a Swedish telivision program named "Kosmopol"
It was showed in november 1991.
They also did Hellraiser in this program.
I remember that there was a short interviev with the band members aswell but i dont know where to find it.
