This must be the biggest collaboration of cast members I have ever seen. Everyone was in a Star Trek series episode from TOS Uhura and Chekov, Voyager Tuvok, Enterprise Vulcan Ambassador, General Martok Deep Space Nine. Fascinating!
Kudos for an amazing bit of special fx. Direction and acting is quite good, especially for a fan film. But the writing was lacking. The entire scene with Uhura on Vulcan seemed needless and drawn out. And why were the evil Chekov and friend on the bridge for the destruction of Vulcan?
I was surprised how entertaining this was. I prepared myself to watch this as if watching a fun B movie of the 50's and 60's. It was actually quite a bit better than that. It moves along at pretty fast pace right from the start.
The opening scene from "Charlie's Law" with that telekinetic nod grabs the longtime diehard fans quick. ... kept me watching until I got into the story.
The blond female officer on The Enterprise has implants that look very similiar to Seven of Nine's implants. How could this be because they have yet to meet "The Borg". . . . . . regardless I love this movie and truly appreciate the gift and tribute these actors have bestowed uopon us
Great production values (courtesy of James Cawley's awesome Phase 2 sets); but man, Walter Koenig's wig and accent are still terrible.
But I love this movie; it's a great mix and match of so many elements of what makes Star Trek fun! Love the actor playing Charlie Evans, too; well-cast. Looks a lot like Robert Walker Jr.
You guys are idiots. The professional actors did an admirable job given the fact that they weren't paid a dime for the roles they were given. The only weakness I see is in that swaggering lunatic James Cawley. Okay James, we get it, and we're thankful for your dedication to the series. Just stay the fuck off camera.
Nichelle walked right by me at a 1976 convention. She was wearing a lady's plaid shirt, blue jeans and lady's boots. Her smile lit up the hallway. She was gorgeous!!!
Good seeing Garrett Wang. He did a great job on Voyager, especially in the last episode where in the future time he was a starship captain and helped out Admiral Janeway.
Nichelle is STILL glamorous; STILL beautiful; after all these years. She's magnificent. Still a queen among actresses. Peace and long life. Live long and prosper.
@scarrenboy LOL, is that a joke? This may be fan made, but there are way too many pros involved in this, "project," that there is objectively no excuse for such shitty acting, shitty costuming, shitty direction, and shitty story.
I think harry kim was gay in voyager. 7 of 9 told him to take his clothes off so she could indulge/experiment/learn human sexual needs & desires,& he rejected her ?????? fag! lol. harry kim the only man 7 of 9 could not assimilate :p
"resistance is futile" (hrmm you think ill resist??? well only a bit :p :D )
I just realized that the Orion slave woman on the bridge looks like the young woman that played one of the workers in Quark's bar on Deeps Space 9 (Rom's girlfriend?). Is this her?
It is not easy being green? seems they are easy here - this was first episode I really wanted to be Archer - he didn't stand a chance - intelligence is sexy...
@kaker69 It ain't no fan movie; that's how. Tim Russ directed it, the guy who plays Tuvoc. He obviously has a closer connection and more pull with all these awesome trek celebrities. Although it IS made by a fan if you recognize that William Shatner is a fan of Star Trek, that Nichole Nichols is also a fan, even George Lucas is a fan of Darth Vader. Basically, the "fans" are no different from the "creators"; it's a question of TALENT.
This is not a "YouTube video" per se. This is a fan made 3-part original movie released a few years back on the Internet (see their website), and then later uploaded to YouTube in pieces.
I don't care so much for what this film did to the Klingons, as mean, brutal bruisers saying stuff like "dominate or be dominated!" when so much work had been placed into making the Klingons so much more than that.
It was just one Klingon portrayed in this way. An evil one at that. Even at it's highest, the Klingons still contained 2 dimensional punks. (E.G. the duras family, Galron)
Yes, this guy played Martock, I was refering to the comment of journeyman171 : "...still contained 2 dimensional punks. (E.G. the duras family, Galron) "
Not the mirror universe, but a mirror universe, there are some differences.
the Klingons are predominantly 2 diimensional punks, with very few exceptions, such as Gorkon, who was killed by his own people for NOT being a 2 dimensional punk.
this is pretty bizzare. why wa there no mention of the attack on vulcan? how did they all know to escape in shuttles? why has Uhura turned into Guinan...?!
"their defense fleet has been completely obliterated." dont you think they could have given an evacuation order as soon as they entered the system and started fighting.
