One of the sexiest planes on the planet, i remember my dad working on these when he was in the Navy. Now I am in the U.S. Air Force seeing the F-22 and soon the F-35. But miss the Tomcat very much as nothing bedazzled your eyes like the F-14.

A beautiful tribute to what *should* be considered the most eye-pleasing aircraft ever produced. Okay, fair enough it's radar signature is more prominent than a former soviet state, but this amazing amalgamation of machine and man can NOT be beaten. I only hope that thenext generation of aircraft can look as good as the F14 while retaining a very low radar signature.

The tomcat is easily the most beautiful thing man has ever sent into the skies.

I used to watch them fly in and out of Oceana naval air station every day. Such a dramatic and striking vision they were. And the SOUND they made! Like no other. I'd gladly pay to hear a tomcat go low and slow over me one more time.

There will never be another bird like this one, it's a crying shame but it is the way of things. Man cannot remake perfection at will, he can only stumble upon it in strikes of genius.

I dont like much the music (i hate it...), but the images are a blast! So i wont rate it... in token of respect, of course, you did a good job!

There isnt any other aircraft with so much carisma and character like the Tomcat and it played a major role many times, in many places of the globe so its not just an movie star (Final Countdown, Top Gun, Macross Zero, etc...). It will be missed! :(

Sad she is gone but I know everyone that flew or worked on her know she went out on top! Even when serving with her 'replacement' the Tomcat was still the Strike Platform of choice!!

I was always in awe of this aircraft, truly it belonged in the air and performed its job to perfection.

I certainly hope that a few aircraft are kept in flying condition to stun and amaze future aircraft enthusiasts. I for one even being a Brit am sorry to see the F14 go out of service.

We should all remember that just because the tomcats arent on our ships any more "It doesn't mean that maybe someday the wont return " just the the f-4j wild weasel did from the bone yard" and the tomcat will eat the new f-22 raptor boys for lunch " with my phinoex missiles " including the f-35 joint strike fighters" at more then 100 miles away baby " so don't be sad she will return " " So i will return : just let me rest for a little while"

I spent two years on the USS George Washington loading munitions on this fine aircraft.. I will forever hold a place deep in my heart for her.. she will be a missed asset.. nothing makes ya more proud then seeing a night cat shot of a Tomcat, those afterburners just straining to kick some ass...nothing in the world like the smell of jet exhaust... SO long .. thanx for the memories
