scooter remembers nothing from that electrcouton? keep in mind, he was not breathing and not having any heart pulse. does this prove life after death???
I like watching these rescue 911 episodes too on youtube! :) If there was ever a problem I would know what to do! :)Thank you so much for uploading all these videos! :)
@FutureCSI404 Because it's a re-enactment, using a defibrillator on a person with a heart beat is the same as the person touching power lines with a pool pole. It can stop the persons heart.
it's always a tricky situation full of adrenaline if there's a child in peril. Had my Paramedic Training 1 year ago and I already had that situation a couple of times
How could he have faked it? I mean there wasn't even a bloody cloud in the sky!! He stiffened up and jolted at the same time the electrcity flashed! Duh!
thare talk about something back in the 70s or 80s today bare power lines like those one going over a swimming pool is illegal and agenst building codes and need to be corrected by the maintenance department those lines
@loveybumblebee554 in some residential areas there are alleys where the electrical wires are on a utility pole which provide electricity to the houses
Scooter and Robbie are now 20 years older meaning Scooter is 36 now and Robbie is 34. I bet they're now married with their own kids. Scooter probably doesn't want his children to suffer the same fate he did. Robbie's probably doing the same thing with his children.
i think its awesome how you put rescue 911 on the internet. i love watching these videos and because of these videos i am better trained with me being a volunteer firefighter.
Scooter was very lucky, most people don't survive when coming into contact with powerlines. Most die from the initial blast of electricity. That line probably carried a minimum of 13,000 volts and a very large current (lots of amps). What was even more miraculous was that he suffered no long term damage or devastating internal burns. This shows God is real and he protects people.
His mop touched the power lines, so he was indirectly touching the lines. Besides, I don't believe in God and I know that the end of Scooter's mop must have been metal, so it conducted electricity. Then it sent it down the mop, and shocked him.
he should have started cpr in the first place by laying him on his stomach he was cutting off his air supply more then he was helping him i think now they make the pool cleaning tools shorter now after that happened he could have sued the company that makes the tool and when he first got electrocuted he sounded like he had a bad case of burping
OMG this show is really old, I remember when it stopped broadcasting. I was so mad... it used to be my favorite show as a kid. I used to think that the reenactments were real... now I cant stand to watch reenactments because I know that it isnt the real thing.... my mom used to tell me, the ppl arent gonna video tape all this stuff lol, although some of them are real.. when he says 'this is not a re enactment..' i was like yay lol
Gas Lines, Water Lines, are all underground, why can't electrical wires be? I know they would become grounded but there would be a way of putting insulating piping around the wires, every where would be safer and would look much nicer with no lines - also another reason would be matienance but they can matain water and gas lines underground why not electrical.
My neighborhood actually does have the powerlines under ground, and it helps during the ice storms- the rest of Little Rock loses power, but we have it- and frankly, it's nice!
does anybody knows whats up with the back pressure method of artificial respiration, im an EMT and have never heard of it, granted im only 18 and this happened before i was even born
Its an older form of CPR and was used a lot in the 1950s and before that time (you see it a lot in Black & White Movies), its called the Slyvester Method. It was obsolete by the early 70s, when it was replaced with what we know today as CPR.
How about asking the hydro company to simply INSULATE the wires. I guess back then wires werent insulated.. but now its so impractical for them not to be.. they waste so much power without insulation, and obviously dangerous too. we have wires just like that over our pool.. and I used to get panicky everytime my dad washed it. I'd sit and watch and warn him if he got too close. That episode is one of the few that really stuck with me over the years.
I was wondering why they put for the syndicated version of C.P.R. BABY a later season segment that's called "plowed under", why didn't they just do "Bridge Rescue,c.p.r. baby" as a syndicated eppie, since they did aussie santa save and christmas bulb choke since it's the same eppie
this kinda resembles the "Butane huffing segment" because his friend goes across the street and worries if he'll die but this is a happy ending story.

as a compliment to this video you should sandwhich experimental moments from 9-1-1- such as,
1. the "footage taped on" off center in the 1st segment of #102
2. the ambulance in the opposite direction in segment 4 #102
3. the extra music from the 3rd segment from #107.
4. the digital #'s from episodes "Easter Hunt", and "Nevada truck crash".

gregorkrause 3 years ago
Like why would they add sirens only to this segment, why not all eps and segments?
gregorkrause 3 years ago
It was probably either a mistake, or they did it once and decided not to do it anymore.
allgood2000 3 years ago
or an experiment like segment #3 of 107
gregorkrause 3 years ago
Yes. There were two other experimental things in this episode. In the cherry picker segment the "Footage Taped on" text was off center, and the image of the animated ambulance in the fourth segment was horizontally flipped.
allgood2000 3 years ago
horizontally flipped, does it mean flipped the other way?
gregorkrause 3 years ago
Yes, the mirror image.
allgood2000 3 years ago
also conrail train the policecar is much closer like in a 3-D sort a way.

wow the solarized animation has sound in this segment? must be an experiment just like Segment 3 #107.

the electric wire shouldn't have been installed near a pool. He probably didn't know the wires were their when he pulled out the pool brushh.
