  • scooter remembers nothing from that electrcouton? keep in mind, he was not breathing and not having any heart pulse. does this prove life after death???

  • I like watching these rescue 911 episodes too on youtube! :) If there was ever a problem I would know what to do! :)Thank you so much for uploading all these videos! :)

  • It's touching how these people survive horrible injuries, but think of all those who don't..... :-(

  • What was he doing raising a pool cleaning vacuum brush in the air for anyway!?

  • @koolkillax he was lifting it out of the pool

  • @rebornhobby360 yeah but it seemed a bit strange how he did it yknow

  • i love rescue 911 it teaches me a lot to do and what not to do

scooter you are awesome cause you survied!

  • i love rescue 911 it teaches me a lot to do and what not to do

  • scooter. if you read this.. would love to see what you look like now :)

  • dang...you can look up this exact address on google 29.880631 N,95.500058 W you can see it as it looks now...and on bing, you an even see the pool

  • gotta becare ful by watching power its dangerous too

  • At 5:35, how come the defibrillator worked without the EMT pushing the discharge button at the top?

  • @FutureCSI404 Because it's a re-enactment, using a defibrillator on a person with a heart beat is the same as the person touching power lines with a pool pole. It can stop the persons heart.

  • it must hurt so bad i just got shocked from my lamp and it hurt really bad

  • is his name scooter?!?

  • is his name scooter!?!?

  • why were they pressing on his back?

  • By reading the title, that was the last thing i would ever expect.

It is just not every dey you hear about that.

  • did you tape this back in 1989 cuz when i watched this back in the 90s willam said on may 27th 1989

  • Please remove the negative comments.

  • I wish Rescue 911 was still on the air!

  • @Hotchocolate1494 same here

  • I thought you weren't supposed touch a person in that conditon...?

  • Anyone dumb enough to be named Scooter deserves to be electrocuted.

  • This event occured on my birthday 8 years before I was born.

  • oh man, the actor is so lucky to kiss all those guys... multiple times.

  • it's always a tricky situation full of adrenaline if there's a child in peril. Had my Paramedic Training 1 year ago and I already had that situation a couple of times

  • What year was this?

  • @ToroRosso20 1989

  • @philip120683 May 27 to be exact

  • @michaelisbell Yeah, thanks for the exact date.

  • How could he have faked it? I mean there wasn't even a bloody cloud in the sky!! He stiffened up and jolted at the same time the electrcity flashed! Duh!

  • Back artificial respiration, what?

  • what power line is by a swimming pool

  • @loveybumblebee554 Theirs.

  • thare talk about something back in the 70s or 80s today bare power lines like those one going over a swimming pool is illegal and agenst building codes and need to be corrected by the maintenance department those lines

  • @loveybumblebee554 in some residential areas there are alleys where the electrical wires are on a utility pole which provide electricity to the houses

  • @loveybumblebee554 The power lines were probably there before the houses & pools were built.

  • I am glad to see these shows on TV, i used to watch these shows all the time when I was younger and now it is great to watch them.

  • Scooter gets electrocuted @ 0:43 because a metal pool pole touched a power line. Oh goodness gracious.

  • I know these are old episodes but, that's still horrible to know that a child is in peril.

  • @SilverWitch614 It's a reconstruction! They use actors to reconstruct what happened.

  • woah

  • 1987!

  • same year aeropostale came out!!!!!!!!

  • god damn, talk about a saftey hazard...a majore safety hazard at that.

  • That helps determine if your heart's beating or not.

  • I am surprised that I am the first person to notice that they were taking a blood pressure on him while they were dong CPR...lol.

  • jesus those power lines must be about

    10,000 volts!!!!

  • It's not the voltage that'll kill ya, it's the current (amps).

  • true it the amps that dose the damage your heart and brain thare was even so much current pasting threw him

that burning heat was produse in the skin whare contac was made to the sorce and to ground which cause

that skin to broil and char

  • Scooter and Robbie are now 20 years older meaning Scooter is 36 now and Robbie is 34. I bet they're now married with their own kids. Scooter probably doesn't want his children to suffer the same fate he did. Robbie's probably doing the same thing with his children.

  • i think its awesome how you put rescue 911 on the internet. i love watching these videos and because of these videos i am better trained with me being a volunteer firefighter.

  • @breinhart2008 ME TOO!!!

  • i'm so glad that Scooter was still alive after the shock

  • What if his friend was not standing there they might have found him later and would not know the cause

  • Scooter was very lucky, most people don't survive when coming into contact with powerlines. Most die from the initial blast of electricity. That line probably carried a minimum of 13,000 volts and a very large current (lots of amps). What was even more miraculous was that he suffered no long term damage or devastating internal burns. This shows God is real and he protects people.

  • His mop touched the power lines, so he was indirectly touching the lines. Besides, I don't believe in God and I know that the end of Scooter's mop must have been metal, so it conducted electricity. Then it sent it down the mop, and shocked him.

  • Be careful scooter.

  • lol i havnt heard of anyone named scooter in a long time

  • its a nickname i should know he is my BF

  • wait, you're robbie henderson???

  • scooter? o_<

  • i love these videos will u be posting any new ones?

  • they went in with an h-frame cot and came out with an x-frame.

  • awsome

  • when vehicles are dispatched and this is interesting not only bells and a loud speaker there's tones, buzzers etc.

  • he should have started cpr in the first place by laying him on his stomach he was cutting off his air supply more then he was helping him i think now they make the pool cleaning tools shorter now after that happened he could have sued the company that makes the tool and when he first got electrocuted he sounded like he had a bad case of burping

  • Was that a fart at 5:36 when the EMT put the paddle on lol

  • no thats the sound the machine makes and it doesn't even sound like a fart at all

  • The one who got hurt is cute! :)

  • my mom was watching this episode when a homevideo was being taped.

  • OMG this show is really old, I remember when it stopped broadcasting. I was so mad... it used to be my favorite show as a kid. I used to think that the reenactments were real... now I cant stand to watch reenactments because I know that it isnt the real thing.... my mom used to tell me, the ppl arent gonna video tape all this stuff lol, although some of them are real.. when he says 'this is not a re enactment..' i was like yay lol

  • Why would this be considered a firetruck segment clearly when an ambulance is involved?

  • Why was the handle thing so long? I have one of them and mine is like half the size of that.

  • I was thinking the same thing. That thing was extremly LONG!!!

  • That guy sure is cute the one who got hurt lol

  • IMHO all season one segments should've had the solarized rescue vehicles with sound.

  • at 5:36 when they shocked him, it sounds like someone ripped a wet fart!

  • the things some ppl notice... zippers these days

  • Hey Beatlemoe whats ur favorite episode and segment?

  • I actually remember seeing this episode, what a shock!

  • pun intended?

  • No pun intended

  • Gasp God!!!!!!!!!

  • Emotionally upsetting segment for the real people to reenact, so actors were used.

  • Here's my own funny quirk of this episode #102 #102 just happens to be my apt#.

  • Gas Lines, Water Lines, are all underground, why can't electrical wires be? I know they would become grounded but there would be a way of putting insulating piping around the wires, every where would be safer and would look much nicer with no lines - also another reason would be matienance but they can matain water and gas lines underground why not electrical.

  • My neighborhood actually does have the powerlines under ground, and it helps during the ice storms- the rest of Little Rock loses power, but we have it- and frankly, it's nice!

  • does anybody knows whats up with the back pressure method of artificial respiration, im an EMT and have never heard of it, granted im only 18 and this happened before i was even born

  • I'm in nursing school, and when I took my CPR class we didn't learn anything about that.... I've never heard of it either....

  • Its an older form of CPR and was used a lot in the 1950s and before that time (you see it a lot in Black & White Movies), its called the Slyvester Method. It was obsolete by the early 70s, when it was replaced with what we know today as CPR.

  • how come the "Sylvester method" isn't used anymore?

  • What's the Sylvester method?

  • you'll see it here it's where the person rolls the drowning victim's arms overhead and pressing on the back at the same time.

  • it's at 2:32 you'll see this method I believe.

  • Ive been paramedic for few years now and was shocked to see that also, I find out it's older version..

  • How about asking the hydro company to simply INSULATE the wires. I guess back then wires werent insulated.. but now its so impractical for them not to be.. they waste so much power without insulation, and obviously dangerous too. we have wires just like that over our pool.. and I used to get panicky everytime my dad washed it. I'd sit and watch and warn him if he got too close. That episode is one of the few that really stuck with me over the years.

  • I was wondering why they put for the syndicated version of C.P.R. BABY a later season segment that's called "plowed under", why didn't they just do "Bridge Rescue,c.p.r. baby" as a syndicated eppie, since they did aussie santa save and christmas bulb choke since it's the same eppie

  • as a compliment to this video you should sandwhich experimental moments from 9-1-1- such as,

    1. the "footage taped on" off center in the 1st segment of #102

    2. the ambulance in the opposite direction in segment 4 #102

    3. the extra music from the 3rd segment from #107.

    4. the digital #'s from episodes "Easter Hunt", and "Nevada truck crash".

  • also arsonist has the digital #'s

  • scooter? oh dear..

  • gas to call 911 lol

  • request: 4th segment of this episode.

  • it seems the season one in the tens stopped with experiments.

  • actually #105-111 had an image of a digital watch.

  • actually digital numbers.

  • This reminds me of the 911 episode where two boys were electrocuted by a lamp post near the edge of a pool.

  • this kinda resembles the "Butane huffing segment" because his friend goes across the street and worries if he'll die but this is a happy ending story.

  • hey mr. allgood can you submit that this segment has sound of the fire engine in the opening of this segment, and only this segment?

  • request: the trauma docu from this episode.

  • Like why would they add sirens only to this segment, why not all eps and segments?

  • It was probably either a mistake, or they did it once and decided not to do it anymore.

  • or an experiment like segment #3 of 107

  • Yes. There were two other experimental things in this episode. In the cherry picker segment the "Footage Taped on" text was off center, and the image of the animated ambulance in the fourth segment was horizontally flipped.

  • horizontally flipped, does it mean flipped the other way?

  • Yes, the mirror image.

  • also conrail train the policecar is much closer like in a 3-D sort a way.

  • was this fire/ambulance station featured in the "Ben taub trauma docu" because it was nighttime?

  • Everyone in the segment are the actual people, except for Scooter and his mother.

I wonder who portrayed Scooter's mother and Scooter?

  • The 1st :04 seconds is very strange! That's probably the 1st and only time we have heard sirens on the return of a commercial break.

  • animated firetruck has sound.

  • wow the solarized animation has sound in this segment? must be an experiment just like Segment 3 #107.

  • Wow the animated firetruck has sound now, usually they are quiet, but in this segment they decided to add sound, why did'nt they do this for #107.

  • the electric wire shouldn't have been installed near a pool. He probably didn't know the wires were their when he pulled out the pool brushh.

  • @davinp They probably weren't the power lines were probably their before the house & pools were built.

  • thanx for uploading this.

  • wow there's a siren in this opening, that's a cool experiment besides the opening for the 3rd segment of #107.
