  • You are right guys!

  • I know it is nasty to rinse the bed pan and graduate in the sink but that is what it tells you to do in the state book....

  • WRONG PROCEDURES!!!! UNEDUCATED ASS SHIT BOOOOO VERY UNEDUCATED VIDEO FOR CNA'S ): SAD AND DISCUSTING

  • its different ways to perform this skills in different states but in NC if you didnt it this way as shown in the video you would fail.

  • bed pans and the graduate are supposed to be bagged before you leave the room taking them with you. no offense i'm just saying.

  • Never rinse bedpans, graduates in the sink.

  • WOw different educator teaches differently. BC in the CNA training I went to, they would never allow us to touch the rinsed container without gloves. Plus she was suppose to wash her hands (can't just verbalize it) before she records the urine measurement

  • does anyone know the best dvd topurchase?

  • hello do you know the best dvd to purchase im taking my test feb 27th i dont know which one to get

  • one thing that does matter is for your exam

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • You should never use the sink to rinse a graduate or a bed pan. Always use the wand or hopper if applicable.

  • so plz help me im taking tha exam n nc in 4 days and i have not done training but i have done most of all tha skills in a group home and I have been studying a cna book. So after measuring tha urine basically its just washing it out to avoid contamination? ok so jus run water out tha container after measuring into tha sink?

  • can somebody plz tell me why she refilled tha measureing cup after pouring tha output out?

  • @sheena7164 she needs to rinse the measuring container and empty it into the toilet before putting it on the dirty utility cart. It prevents bacteria and contamination!

  • can i use this as a guide to prepare for my state exam.. in michigan??

  • If I am not misunderstanding she was suppose to wash her hands before writing down the output. She removed her gloves wrong too? Aren't you suppose to pull from the palm, ball it up, then, with your bare fingertips remove the second glove from the cuff.

  • I agreed!

  • FuNnYmAn2094- Because she does not want to contaminate the washed pan.

  • This doesnt even matter anyways.. when you get into the real world of a cna nobody is ever this particular!...

  • @Lyssiepoo04 Yes, They are....Try working in a long term care facility. They are.

  • this is a very educational video:)

  • Shes probably still learning im shure she did fine on the test =] Kudos girly!

  • WoW!!!!! instead of all these nastey comments why not just stop watching

  • CONTAMINATION.. lolz

  • TALLCAN, YOUR JUST A TALLCAN OF BULLSHIT, cause if u had any kind of Degree you and Your Fukin HillBilly family, you would know that you say," My Family and I" not," me and My family" you all on here are all fukin dumb

  • ,my cna exam is ds coming march 9 2010

  • she would have faild within the 1st 20 seconds!! she grabbed the container wrong u are not supposed to put ur fingers inside!!

  • why would you touch the pan with your hands(no gloves on) failed ...Elijah DeLeon ,RN

  • no sanitize

  • She would have failed, she did not use a paper towel to turn on the water.

  • @emilysaysskip what would that matter?

  • well for one it would matter, because you can't touch the sink with urine on your hands. It's contamination.

  • i could've sworn that u were supposed to wash out both the graduate and bedpan wit a cup being that its body fluid ,but she rinsing it out over tha sink which is causing urine to splash back into the sink

  • Are you a nursing assistant looking to become a nurse? My organization provides a $5000 scholarship to the Nursing Assistant of the Year. Search YouTube for "nursing assistant scholarship" for more information.

  • Touched bed pan with bare hands....fail....

  • do only women work as CNA?

  • no. anyone can.

  • no in my class we had 5 guys!

  • she failed! coz u can't touch the linen with ur bar hands in any case

  • Failed my first written and skills test, way too nervous. rescheduled 3 weeks later, watched every video and went over my notes daily. Passed second test with 95% score. If you fail, please don't give up, try again ! Best of luck.

  • She should have said she was taking the dirty containers to the soiled utility before she took her gloves off. Also, she should have washed her hands after she took her gloves off and before she recorded her measurement.

  • How do you read the measuring cup? I get confused.

  • got to take the skill test this saturday.

  • Taking mines tomorrow.. (Tuesday)

  • the skill isn't cleaning up afterward, it's doing the actual skill. our skills book says nothing about cleaning it afterward, and all the examiner wants to see is the actual skill. i would think touching the bed pan without gloves would be a bad thing.

  • She didnt disinfect the bed pan or measuring container, she just rinsed them.. FAIL

  • a paper towel isn't a barrier in my opinion. Anything liquid leaks thru is not a proper barrier. Water from a faucet is not a disenfectant where body fluids are concerned (and I bet the nxt person to sit on that toilet seat will be very po'd that it wasn't put up when dumping piss all over it). This shows you how absolutly ridiculous these testing assholes are.

  • Omg, I take my state board in less than 8 hours. I'm so f'in nervous!!!

  • I take my skill test saturday for last time or I'll get fired. I took the skill test 2 time and fail both by 1 stinkin skill.

  • hey me and my family ALL work in the elderly health care feild PLEASE hit me up if you guys have any questions about CNA or RN (bsn) or LVN work or testing i know i can help even questions about the boards or NCLEX exam. HIT ME UP I WILL NOT BS YOU GUYS

  • hi i have a question on the cna. do i have to take a class in order to take the test or can i just study and pass it without any worries?

  • you have to pass aminimum requirment for the boards. You have to have so many hours of theroey and on floor clinical hours. No i do not think that you can just go an sighn up to take the test without these requirments. You have to be finger printed and all kinds of other legal things done first.

  • Criminal background check, book work, and clinicals with state board exam

  • u have to take a class must

  • hey you know what to all cnas out there i want to give a shout out to. im a cna going through nursing school right now . WE ALL FING ROCK. i also would like to say that when i become a nurse i will NOT treat my cnas like dirt !

  • Comment removed

  • If she could get a cna lisc, I guess anything is possible.... LOL

  • And why do Nurses usually treat CNA s like dirt ???

  • Nurses have to supervise cnas, They have to be taught, they can't just do things without learning, or else they won't know how to do things they're suppose to do.

  • You can find the answers to the CNA test online. LOL

  • isdakongsupot1, "y do cna's act like they know how to do a licensed nurses job"? It has to be done so they are taught. (I have heard "it's a nurses dirty job")

  • hope she pass

  • I'm going to sigh up for my CNA training class in about 2 hours. I'll start next month, and it only costs $22. All of the nursing homes and hospitals here in Arkansas are really understaffed.

  • I'm getting ready to join a cna program in weeks. Its hands on learning and we test after it. If we pass, we get a certificate.

  • Boobs

  • i really want to go get my cna but i am so scared. please help. been doing homeheath for 3 years

  • we were always taught to poor down the inner side of the bowl so we didnt cause splashing of urine. And the lid should be up......

  • is it me or is it just my imagination. y do cnas act like they know how to do a licensed nurses job when they were never trained to be one.

  • Not if they're filming it

  • The bedpan and the vacutainer should have the patients room number, bed number, and the patients initials labeled on them with a permanent marker so there will be no mix-up of belongings and possible cross-contamination.

  • well for testing purposes i don't think they are going to have that on the container but i can bring it up just in case so thanx for the heads up

  • enrolled in cna class now ..only paying 80 it pays for everything...

  • where?

  • Btw.

You NEVER wash that stuff out in a sink like that.

  • it was discarded into the toilet so it's fine

  • In south Seattle we have a Kamanga Nursing school that offers a 3 week crash course for $550. Incase anyone was tryinf to be a NAC in the seattle area.

  • omg thank u so much this helped me alil to over come my irritatedness like i am scared but im takeing mine tomarrow morning!!

  • when i was watching the video i noticed at that the handbook that was on the table was just like my handbook same picture and everything....i was wondering what state you are from...is it Mississippi too? I take my test tomorrow this will truly help me.

  • this videos are so handy thank you so much i am taking mine on friday and i am so scared

  • Did you pass?

  • I just passed the Red Cross today :D

  • congrats!!!

  • These videos are very helpful to me. I haven't taken any classes but I have experience because my grandma had a stroke and is weak on her left side and I basically take care of her around the clock and SHE was the one that suggested I challenge the test so I am this Wednesday. I'm so nervous I'm gonna miss a skill and fail or fail the written part. I start this August on getting my A.S. in nursing!

  • As of today, I have abandoned my quest for CNA training. I instead decided to go back to school for Medical Assisting.

  • Two months ago I placed an application at the local nursing home and signed up for the next CNA training class. I am very excited and getting impatient waiting for the call. These videos have helped me bide my time and are a great way to prepare. Thanks!

  • Do you plan for nursing in the future?

  • I understand you live in an area where there are almost no CNA classes. At one point we had thought we might also have a class on line and it has not yet come to fruition. I wish I could help you. In what area do you live? I understand that after you finish your MA it's VERY difficult to find a position.
