The cod piece you're all talking about, was designed by famed french designer Jean-Paul Gaulthier who also did stage clothing for Madonna. Larry is faaaar being gay I can assure you that! I even had to testify about his identity to a girl he was flirting with and who couldn't believe he was a famous singer!
Anyway, even without the scheduled interview I wrote an article for FUNK-U Mag, the famous french Funk mag.
I am the 3rd from left on the initial pic with the Mothership Funk Club sweat shirt! Too funny to see this old video from the 90's! About the interview of which you see about 3 seconds, it never lasted any longer. This was backstage at this concert at Le Bataclan in Paris, but intially scheduled after the balance, Larry asked us to come after the show. But by then he was 'too tired' in his own words!
No not gay... however;while all/most of the other stars of the eighties had dropped the 1980s fashion style long ago; Larry Blackmon is still into it... (especially with that red "thing" he always wears...I've never been be able to understand that thing...was it supposed to look "great!"; or was it only to protect his balls ...??!...)
That's where the funk is...right behind the red thing! Word up!
