NRE's genset switchers are real life-sized kitbashes. They take parts from retired locomotives and put them together into a remanufactured one.

2721 used to be in Chicago at UP's Proviso Yard in Illinois. Awesome!! I took many pics of it before the moved them all down to you guys.

Ya they probably had 20 sitting at the engine shop at Proviso Yard doing nothing but collecting dust. The crews hated them(well at least that's what a UP employee there told me)

saw PHL Geneset other night. They did nice paint job for PHL.
