It's all good, because you aren't constantly looking at your health bar and wondering " Am I going to die yet" every now-and-again. You also don't have to keep looking for health, too. And yet, furthermore, it's more realistic as well. You don't see a small health meter at the top right corner of your eye do you? So yeah. I think it's pretty good idea.
