Just to clarify a misconception... he was born in what is today Britain (southwest coast to be exact), but he was a Romanized Celt, for, you see, this was quite sometime before the Angles and the Saxons (modern day English) took over, when Patrick's native people were pushed into modern day Wales, so if anything he is Welsh (yet he adopted the Irish as his people).
