i noticed that on three occasions it fired 2 rounds with a single trigger pull. If you do not have that sear registered with the ATF, you better have a gunsmith fix it before you get in BIG trouble!!! Just do a search for "David Olofson"

does anyone know if it is legal to use a 30 round clip in new york? we recently got a new AR-15 and im trying to buy one and my dad keeps telling me that they are illegal to use (based on what he thought he heard the gunstore guy say) and i keep telling him that he misunderstood, so who is right? are they legal or illegal to use?
@A5456Nt2 NY has a "Assault Weapons Ban" in effect. Search for info about "NY AWB" for a complete rundown. Basically, NEW AR-15 magazines are illegal to possess in NY. If you can find 30 round magazines made before the ban went in effect on 9/14/1994 they would be legal. These magazines are usually referred to as "pre-ban". They are "grandfathered" in, so they are still legal. There are only so many out there, so they command a higher price, but can be found on online gun forums for $10-$15.
@A5456Nt2 I've never heard of a 30 round clip. I have however seen, heard of, and own, a couple 30 round MAGAZINES. Haha. Not being mean, just informing.
idk the point of converting an AR 15 into a fully auto weapon. What are you gonna use it for? Not to mention you'll spend a good amount of time in prison if your caught with it
@bearsfan1294 haha i come back almost a year later and its the highest rated comment. ive never liked the wide trigger guards.... i know they serve a purpose but god daaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnm
I always wonder why people push the bolt release like they are afraid of it, or they are having trouble with it...all you gotta do is push with your thumb like a button.I normally put a mag in then push the bolt release when I bring the rifle up to shoot, not tap it sideways with my hand, not trying to sound like a ass..just wondering why people tap them...sideways...lol
people "slap" the bolt release as taught in law enforcement and such to build muscle memory firing the rifle. That way if you are ever shooting and need to reload, you put the mag in and "slap the release" which generally results in a first time hit and follow through. Rather then searching for the button to hit with your thumb under pressure.
It could technically be converted to be fully automatic with the correct parts and a knowledge of gunsmithing.
In America it is illegal for the general population to own new production fully automatic firearms though. If you are caught with one you will spend 10 years in federal prison. It's really not worth the trouble then.
The law that banned full automatic firearms was enacted in 1986. Anything produced before then is legal to own though. So there are some fully automatic firearms available for sale. They are extremely expensive though, because they are rare.
A full auto M16 made before the year 1986 can be bought by a civilian, but the cost is over $10,000 USD because they are very rare.
Can't be legally converted but you can own full auto if the proper legal steps are taken. Forms, background checks, and the sheriff must sign off too. All this depends on where you live and so on. M16's are pretty expensive in comparison to the AR-15. The AR suits me fine and it was less than 800 dollars.
Great video. I love the acoustics of the area where you are shooting.

Wikipedia says: "The AR-15 (ArmaLite Model 15) is a widely owned semi-automatic rifle..."
Also, getting fully automatic weapons is much different than semi-autos.

lol yeah, it seems like it would be quicker to slap it with the palm of the hand, but I've since realized the thumb is usually an easier method.
In the "featured video" on my channel about a third of the way through you can see I use my thumb now. ;-)

The rifle is made in the USA. It is an AR-15. It is the semi-automatic version of the USA military M-16.
