between the guitarist of Dokken and guitarist Warren DeMartini (RATT) Who do you prefer?, guitarists are 2 great, 2 great groups. LOS ANGELES, HEAVY METAL, but I prefer the RATT
best song ever. my first concert was with them. best movie to. best band. wat who would dislike this song. i mean seriously. whoever loves this song is a true rocker. im only 13 to. my dad introduced me to 70 rock when i was born. i hate this new crap. they dont have the true guitar solos any more. i hope people will look back to this and start making real rock like it should be. dokken rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they'd had a good rhythm guitarist with nice ideas, they could be listened to day and night with their great vocal work and solos, but one must admit that this way they're just boring after 15 minutes with the almost always middle-tempo, hardly distinguishable and banal riffs. Sad to say.
this song is amazing---the tune just gets me evertime---80's music ruled--i also like the songs from the nightmare series---this one of course----and running from this nightmare by tuesday knight and of course davinyls--back to the wall and sinead o'connor's i want your hands on me---just awesome talent--
Good chance this has been mentioned already, but its missing the Freddy finale where he says (going by memory here) "what a horrible nightmare...who were those guys??"
Nightmare On Elm Street Was There Biggest Publicize..In The Beginning They Had The Girl Listening To Into The Fire.. N They Had Someone With A Dokken Shirt On In The Film, N Of Course This Song At The End On The Credits It Was Probely There Last Attempt To Get As Much Attention As Much As The Other Hair Metal Bands Of That Era Sadely They Never Reached..Which Is Really Hard To Understand..Also Don't Close Your Eyes Was A Outtake For The Soundtrack I Believe The Lyrics Follow The Story Of Freddy
80's rock/metal, guys wearing leather, make-up, long hair, screaming guitars, HOT-ASS girls in the videos, damn I miss that, wouldn't it be great to have a "lolapalooza" of 80's hair bands doing comeback shows....awesooooooome!
I've said it before and I'll say it again- if you doubt that this song is awesome, compare it to the absoulte crap that is the song at the end of Nighmare 1.
If you all want a copy of this video it's on the special features disk in the DVD box set in the Labyrinth game. Try and see if you can find it. It's awesome with a surround sound system if you have one.
I liked hair metal. It's better than the canned corporate crap that's force-fed down peoples' throats today 24/7. And Don Dokken was so cute. Loved Dokken, the movie, and this video. Thanks for posting.
Hated hair metal, what crap. However I realize Dokken was one of the few bands that could actually get it, and then they pull this crap. I don't think I want to dream anymore either.
S.O.D. offered to write the theme song for DREAM WARRIORS and they almost got the gig based on their song "Freddy Krueger." Now THAT would have made a cool video.
AAAAGHH! I feel so embarassed for these poor people every time I see this video. It's so doofy and cheesy. And I actually like metal. The scene where Dokken and Lynch walk down the hallway in unison, pointing at Freddy, has got to be one of the most painful moments ever in an 80's video. Sorry to all the fans of this video/ song, but it's been 20 years now since we first saw it and we can be honest now- it's CRAP!
Lynch am the boys!! Don Dokken the Perry Como of Rock!!Freddie get us some better special effects!! so 1987!! Dude wail on that gee tar!! love it@@then some!!
