  • perfect how-to

    thank you :)

  • pink panther?

  • Good video. You don't show all measurements though.

  • What kind of alcohol was that you pored into it?

  • i made one out of 2 pieces of tin foil and some hand sanitizer that was amusing as hell

  • I'll answer myself: nope, it doesn't.

  • Awesome! Does it work with white spirit?

  • Excellent! Just what a good "how to" video should be. Clearly demonstrated and well documented with good lighting and angles of view and despite no vocal instructions, it was quite clear how to make one. Nice music too.

  • Oh and one more thing: it seems you would be very good friends with a Dremmel. ver smoother cutting and more capabilities, but you sure know how to use tools.

  • it seems to me most of the heat goes trough the sides and escapes, a heat shield or the caldera design wind screen would funnel the hot flames making it more efficient. I'm not saying it doesnt work, But it would be improved. it seems this arrangement would be good for a large frypan or pot, a tiny one like the Snowpeak might loose some of the heat, thus making it less efficient

I like your design. Simple, quick, easy, and looks very sturdy and strong

  • what lighter are you using?

  • This alcohol jet stove is the best I've seen

    is the number one

  • good, but it's the first time that i see aluminium bottle. If I have one.............

  • one of the cearest instrution videos I have seen. Thank you.

  • Amazing!!

  • ive never seen an aluminium budwiser! :(

  • @dragoninfire123 comes in a box of 6 at the gas station not sold individually

  • Best I have seen! Thank you and keep it up

  • Very nice vid- really well explained and i liked the diagrams --- are the rivets really needed? i see a lot without them

  • 10/10

  • By far the best vid i have seen on this project. Every one else ramble with out script. bla bla bla just make the damn thig all ready...

My main problem is no rivet gun or any tools really haha. Keep up the awesome!!

  • @thenofxer use epoxy like JB weld

  • @mdf072 Thx

  • Cool video. It looks simple and effective. One improvement I can suggest is to find a way to roll the top edge over. This would make it stronger and you wouldn't need the rivets.

  • why can't anyone talk in these D.I.Y. campstove uploads? I would prefer an explanation to go along with the demo rather than a copyright infringed jazz tune.

  • @tectonicD i prefer the music to the ongoing jibber jabber. i think it's really clear how he made it.

  • @tectonicD yeah its from Sim City

  • Great how to video! The only advise I have would be to drill the holes in the neck of the bottle before you cut it. You will get cleaner holes.

  • by making the inner wall 1 mm shorter

you can roll the edge of outer can

    inwards to hold it together

    instead of using a rivet

  • is the aluminum in this can more sturdy than a regular can or something? any other cans with this stability or is it just like an energy drink can?

  • @DJDailey These cans, as well as budlight bottle-cans are made of considerably thicker aluminum than standard beer or soda cans. Venom energy drinks are made with even thicker aluminum walls than the can in the video, but that's overkill... you could stand on one of these with no problem.

  • @bk119957 ok thanks, i cant seem to find any cans like that Heineken can, any suggestions where to look?

  • @DJDailey what country you in?

  • Comment removed

  • It's cool,.. I'll try it !!!

  • what kind of alcohol

    ?

  • @rogelio67

Probably Methanol (Don't drink, highly poisonous)

  • '

    how many percent of alcoholic,,,,

    clear or green

  • denatured alcohol..?

  • can u use gasoline on it???

  • @rogelio67 gasoline will explode, dont use gas

  • Miles Davis... Made me watch the whole thing.

  • How hot does it burn?

  • Nice gloves, they look very practical. Excellent production values as well.

  • Any info on using racing alcohol?

  • I dont think the rivets are really even nessesary.....

  • a video where you accidentally knock it over lit, would get maybe 100,000 more hits

  • @stoopefy Yes, actually! It won't produce any more harmfull gases than a natural gas stove. If you do burn it inside just make sure that you have a stable base and your good to go. (avoid obvious things like curtains, hair, carpet...etc.) Most people use denatured alcohol, such as the man in this video. The only downfall is that is isn't the cleanest alcohol you can get. I use a product called HEET (in the yellow bottle), it is amazing and most people who try it, prefer it!

  • is this safe use in house? i notice alot people show them indoors dont look like be safe? is it?

  • nice presentation.

this side burner is not energy efficient

  • Quite possibly one of the best 'how to' vids I've seen. Good job Alex!

  • which is the title of the theme music?, Congratulations, good management of tools.

  • Very nice vid

  • Very nice insturctional video. I might add that in stead of drilling the bottom holes in the neck portion, that they may be "V" cut with shears or side cutters. Faster and neater in my experience.

  • is it not energy efficient ?

  • very nice production

How much of that inverted top section can you hammer in before it will split the bottom section? About 1/8th or a 1/4 inch?

  • Great Job!!, do you have to use rivets?

  • could you use any sort of aluminum bottle/can for this project? i understand that it is much easier if to use a bottle because of the shape. i am backpacking for a few months next summer, and this would save a lot of room, and money.

  • Thats a great stove, I'm definately going to try and build one, thanks for your video.

  • how do you make the inner walls? plz tell me!!!!!

  • you can also use an aluminium deoderant can just make sure it is completely empty and take out the spray nozzle, cut the top and bottom off at the right heights which you can determine put the top into the bottom just the same, pop some holes in about 15 mm down from where the pot will sit and off you go

  • is anyone know if it can work with unleaded (car) gaz?

  • it will work if u want it 2 blow up

  • A great instructional video. Good job. Nice stove

  • I actually have one of those sitting on the desk in front of me right now : )

  • 5/5 greath job!! wanted to get the vargo titanium stove,i think i will built one like your's in stead!THX!!!

  • I bet you already are or you are going to be a great engineer !

  • Thank you!!! :)

  • audioswap needs better music!

    other than that its great

  • Nice job clean looking and solid !

  • This is very interesting job. Thank you for sharing. I have an idea that I should make one for brewing my coffee with mocha pot at outdoor. Fun !

  • I finally have a bottle. It is not a heiny bottle so a peipe cutter was useless, but I hacked off the top. As fer the holes what size drill bit how many holes spaced how far apart. I can make it tonight or tommorrow if you post soon enough.

    thanks

    swaz

  • Hi Guys, found the site, it was either google or my isp have spasms.

again great vid, very simple. Now If I can just find some friggen bots!

    swaz

  • Thanks you made that so simple I can finally make one. The steps in other how toos were cool, but , complicated.

That was done the way a tradesman master does it , not the engineer architect does it. KISS methodology.

I tried to log onto your website but I can not is it a secret place?

    thanks

    swaz

  • go search the website from google and then enter it from google, you can't access the website by typing in the url cuz prob you live in united states or something

  • very nice job. it looked like it came from a manufacturer it was so good

  • Here's one just like it reviewed by Tinny over two years ago that did come from a manufacturer. It's polished, too.

    watch?v=BYjn8Urk7YA

  • nice job

  • that is so freaking cool!

  • how long does this last?

  • Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing!! 5/5

    ED

  • Nice tutorial

    Bill

  • Good instruction video. You and I build these in almost the same fashion. Only thing I do different is that I use a paper punch to make the holes on the inner wall bottom. Great video. 5 *

  • Nice demo.
