After much stamping and slamming doors I went to bed and put my tv under the quilt and watched it, with no sound, just in case she heard me. Didn't get to hear the words until I bought the video a few years after!

Absolutely excellent series, i have it on vhs, but to get on dvd costs a fortune!!!! I was 14 when it came out, am now 40. Excellent acting from all, especially phoebe cates, spot on. Recommended

I watched this mini series in Sweden when i was young. Can´t really remember how young though but i just loved it. There is something about the mystic and the glamour that i just can´t put words on. Another series i feel almost the same about is another 80-series i remember; blood and orchids. I would love to have those on dvd, but i don´t think they exist, do they?

I still got both VHS tapes but they're about to wear out after so many viewings. I just love *Lace*. The story is quite far-fetched but the acting and the music score were absolutely lovely.

i can vividly recall watching this tv series in Manila when i was still around 9 or 10 yrs. old and i fell in love with the storyline immediately; especially when it was time for her to find out who her real father is.. and boy, what a surprising story twist it was during the reveal! (which is the highlight of the story IMHO) thanx so much for sharing this. i think i'm gonna buy the dvd. brings soo much memories. ^_^

I remember watching this movie as a child with my mother...I was in the 4th grade. Best film ever made -- all time favorite. Am reading the book from the public library and Barns and Nobles has it. Quite pornographic and Part VI is really disturbing so beware. It's a story which celebrates female sexuality and strength. I am fascinated by the story and adore that scene.
