This has to be one of the coolest Southwest commercials I've seen. I love the old-school gate signage, and the lady with the hat rocks!

From the fashions (high-waist slacks, 3-piece suits, old people in respectable clothes instead of something like what a giant toddler might wear), I'd say that this commercial dates from around 1979.

The 70s sucked, by the way. I know -- I was there. The only thing better then than now was race relations. Blacks and whites got along a lot better back then. We enjoyed the same music, too...

Anyway, great commercial. Remember when Southwest had a sense of humor?
