Wow, thanks for putting another one of those shitty sound quality videos on youtube that everyone hates and has no use whatsoever. Thank you very much.
What is M-audio's problem? Fix the audio on your live vid feeds to youtube.com What do you think everyone's screaming about. This has been like this for a long time, jeez fix it already.
This is disgusting, you expect people to blow their speakers listening to that frequent disgusting nosy interruption. Have some respect for your would be listeners
If you want to see this exact same video, but without that horrible static noise and stupid repeated glitch, just copy and paste this into the YouTube search box:

You STUPID DUMBSHIT!!! You almost got me deaf with this SHIT!!!! @ 0:11 I was using earhook headphones with a loud volume when your stupid shit video almost exploded my ears, with your little F*CKING HUGE LOUD WHITE NOISE EXPLOSION!!! Be a little bit reasonable and take this crap offline, before you make somebody deaf with this shit!
Hi I'm running windows vista 64 bit on a dell xps 430. My production software is Fl studio 9 and i'm running the piano through USB. I also have a presonus Firestudio mobile, not sure if that's relevant. had the Piano sicne last christmas but recently i've been having issues with my Piano not responding entirely after about 5 minutes of being on. nothing works I have to turn off the piano refresh the midi connection and reset it basically.
now i definitely gonna switch on my limiter to keep my speakers away from overloading before watching any youtube videos.. this is the third time in a day!!! whats wrong with these people!!
@JacobSijsma hey everyone, instead of insulting the uploader add "&fmt=18" (sans quotes) to the address of the video above. audio problems are common with old videos and it's youtube's fault, not the users'.
My music Professor told me about this controller great investment but my advice is always this "get what works for you" what is it going to take to get you to the finish line fast and easy, thats the route you take it wont work for everybody but it will work for you. But I gota say if you are a piano player and producing music this board works well with Reason you may have to program it for Protools and Logic put the time in its worth it!!!!
Anyone looking at this controller isn't for just trying to push buttons or trigger samples... they are for people that actually play the piano and need 88 keys, weight, VST control. So stop with the Neko LX5 or any other controller. You're "wai" off point here.
Pros:
It's sweet! Great action.
Cons:
-No aftertouch
-Bottom is made of pressed board
-Key velocity sticks (really LOUD notes) and you have to clean the contacts
-opening it to clean is not for the technically challenged
Well ya can't really expect high-end quality keys for that price.. they're a great deal if you're merely using them for programming etc in the digital domain, but I wouldn't go near a stage with those in a hundred years and I've tested it for about half a year now.
I have a sound issue with this keyboard that i really need answered!!!! If anyone can help let me know. The sound keeps fading in and out when i'm playing the piano sound. It's like someone is turning the volume up and down consistently.
I know it's velocity sensitive but i think i might of accidentally pressed something wrong. Help????
yo i had the same problem back in the day.. i think i changed the Curve.. i used c3-c7 most of the time... i don;t have it any more but hopefully this could work.. i think there was a dump button as well.. Maybe change your id settings? if i can remember 10 was configurable.
Hey thanks-i've just figured out the problem. It WAS the velocity curve. It was all set wrong, way out of proportion. Before it sounded like a clunking sound when i pressed the keys but now it's all smoothed out. Sounds a HUNDRED times better. Now i'm afraid to touch any of the other knobs incase i stuff more things up...lol
Say I put a sound card in my XPS 430..can this plug in pci or how will it be faster latency..i read that plugging it in my regular usb in the front might make it slower..i'm getting a sound card regardless, will I just need to plug it in the back?
hmmm... so what was this crap someone was telling me that Only M-audio midi's work with a certain tool..... Oh wait...maybe its that they only work with M-audio interfaces...

Because I believe spending money on quality gear that will work right and last, not cheap plastic crap that'll end up in the landfill in 3 months mate. I've gone the cheap gear route and regretted it. Akai gear is quality and stands the test of time.
does anybody know how i can bind the play/stop and so on buttons in reason? 4 play/stop and so on.
in reason 4 i can't use any fader? why that? does anybody know that? i like to bind my faders 4 the mixer. but it doesen't work. (overwrite edit mode doesen't work there)
thx 4 your help. i work with this keyboard since 2 years. and it's really good.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i got two questin 1: is there some instruction book for this or something like help cuz i wont to bye it and i wanna make sure how to use it 2: can i use it with fl studio please some one answer thanks
its a great keyboard, but I just didn't like the "feel" of the keys. Seemed to "bouncy". Maybe my keys were defected or something, but I didn't really enjoy playing on it. And even though you can change velocity of the keys, they were still too sensitive. Eventually sold it on ebay. Go to a local music store first and play with it before buying, something I recommend with anything else.
well most of the time you have to program each button, fader, ect. to what you want it to do. i have a studio with about 3 midi controllers and 2 synths and i spent about an hour one day programing them all. but they work fine. im thinking about getting pro tools so pm me or something and tell me how it worked out for you.
The good: plenty of controls, class compliant. The bad: everything else. This product is very disappointing. If you are looking for a keyboard that plays like a piano, look somewhere else because the action on this is terrible. The keys are too resistive to the touch, forcing you to play harder and it makes playing with any dynamics very difficult.
It has NO INTERNAL SOUNDS. You have to either play software synths or other keyboards via MIDI.
You can use a power supply to run this board away from a computer, (I use it to control my Roland VK8M organ mudule, using the sliders on the the Pro88 for upper manual and the drawbars on the VK8m for lower.
The manual is rather "abstract" not giving any extra help, just the facts.
I'm still trying to get it fully set with Sonar 8 and Reason 4, help!
the vid says that the buttons can be assigned to patch changes - can that be done without a computer (i.e. on-the-fly just with the controller)? And is it possible to assign them to commands such as bank up/down and patch up/down?
ok ... i want a keyboard that is able to play by itself and able to record on a mac...
can i get one? lol :)
is there a keyboard that is a proper keyboard on its own but also when you plug it in to an interface and computer you can make it a drum kit, strings, bass, synth and loads of different intsrument like a controller ?
please comment back soon if you know :)
thanks... oh and i would like it to have 88 keys ... cheers ;)
i was thinking about buying the 86 key version which is grey but i can see from what you say there is not much difference and am gonna be using it to record piano sounds so should i just go ahead and buy the lesser version?
and the other thing is...
i have a mac and am using Garageband at the moment and am trying to get logic pro
but where do i get those PIano sounds like the guy in the video has?
i am looking for a controller for using with reason and quite like the features if this controller. if anyone has had any experience of using it could you please let me no how you found it, thanks.
I really want a simple yet powerful keyboard for using with Garageband. I know Garageband is not exactly industry standard stuff but I like it and I really want to buy something that is similar to this but cheaper because I am guessing this has a hefty price tag.
I was looking on the Apple site for a small keyboard and it looked very good but not sure if its right. Anyone know of a good keyboard and pad setup I can buy?
good keyboard,I bought an ex-demo one from Digital Village and some of their retarded representatives packed it very badly and arrived damaged. Mr. Big Brains packed it into a bit of bubblewrap and a thin box, then I had to chase them to get a refund. Needless to say,I am not going to buy from them again
I just bought one of these today from Guitar Center....They had to order it for me from another store so I will be getting it probably Thursday...CAn't wait....I love synth programming and designing sounds....This thing has so many gadgets on it..enough to even satisfy my big need for hands on appetite
If you plug it into your PC's midi in or USB port, then with compatible midi editing software you can play and record to your heart's content. The Keystation Pro88 is a midi controller only, sending midi data to your computer. The similarly named Pro Keys 88 does generate sounds. Hope this helps.
be sure to turn this sick vid way up!!!!!

well most of the time you have to program each button, fader, ect. to what you want it to do. i have a studio with about 3 midi controllers and 2 synths and i spent about an hour one day programing them all. but they work fine. im thinking about getting pro tools so pm me or something and tell me how it worked out for you.

And its not vista compatible!!!! plus no driver installer available for 64bit

just buy a usb-midi interface, and plug in the keyboard using a midi cable...
problem solved.

that's an good option that's what I do
actually I use my synth Juno D as a controller
but I hater buy something that already has a usb bus to plug in makes it almost with out latency adjustments I guess when using different programs

Just to clear up some confusion....

And is it possible to assign them to commands such as bank up/down and patch up/down?

can enigma be used as a plug-in for pro tools?
arcticgypsynum1 2 years ago
So, wait..! HELP ME OUT HERE:
you CAN'T play this thing without a connection to your computer?
Cause I wanna perform and practice with the band, without carrying a pc with me all the time..

It's a midi controller, not a keyboard with speakers on the sides. Look elsewhere for such a piano

also... i understand that this wont work on its own but it will if i plug it in and use it in reason or cubase etc.
but will it become a drum kit/strings/ bass/ synth etc?
like can it be an all in one instrument?

ok ... i want a keyboard that is able to play by itself and able to record on a mac...
can i get one? lol :)
is there a keyboard that is a proper keyboard on its own but also when you plug it in to an interface and computer you can make it a drum kit, strings, bass, synth and loads of different intsrument like a controller ?
please comment back soon if you know :)
thanks... oh and i would like it to have 88 keys ... cheers ;)

Every keyboard with a midi function can act like that.
That's mean that almost every keyboard can act like this.
The only thing you needed is the "USB to MIDI" cable and you're all set :-)
The only advantage of the keystation pro 88 is the control surface and the full functionality of a midi controller device.
It's cannot play it's own sounds, As it's DO NOT a standalone keyboard.
Try the ProKeys 88, It's a midi controller and a digital Piano.

cheers mate...
And about the software... i have made a decision to buy logic studio 8... is that i good idea ? thanks for you time ;)

Production software is like a girl for a wedding :-)
You should really check out some other "girls" ( Cubase, Ableton, Reason etc...) before you you wanna get married with Logic...
You have mac? Logic 8 is just for mac....
I recommend downloading hack version of all the software's then see what software you really connecting to, then Buy it :-)

lol... i like you stye :)
yeah i'm buying a mac...
thanls, i'll check out some girls and see which one i like most...
cheers ;)

just two questions.
i was thinking about buying the 86 key version which is grey but i can see from what you say there is not much difference and am gonna be using it to record piano sounds so should i just go ahead and buy the lesser version?
and the other thing is...
i have a mac and am using Garageband at the moment and am trying to get logic pro
but where do i get those PIano sounds like the guy in the video has?
Thanks

I need this.
We were in the store today trying one that was unpluged. Does it have its own sounds?
danxl5 2 years ago
No, this is a controller ONLY... You need external sound modules or virtual instruments with a low-latency ASIO soundcard to connect it to.

Needless to say,I am not going to buy from them again

i need help !!!
i bought a keystation pro 88...
but i dont know how to make some noise...
what can i do ?
sigdeluxegoesPG 2 years ago
If you plug it into your PC's midi in or USB port, then with compatible midi editing software you can play and record to your heart's content. The Keystation Pro88 is a midi controller only, sending midi data to your computer. The similarly named Pro Keys 88 does generate sounds. Hope this helps.
