I love the opening theme. Great music. This series has everything a detective-genre fan could ask for. Grand dialogue, great characters (Of course I like Milner, Foyle and Sam the best), great story, great morale...

I'm hoping they have some sortof explosion at the end, where all the characters die (bear with me) and then we find out they come out with another one, sortof like in Blackadder, taking place at a later time. (Modern?) Or possilby earlier. I would DIE for a Foyle's War/Brother Cadfael crossover.

That would be a good idear. What i would like to know is where is Michael Kitchen? what is he doing? Leicester are naming things left right and centre after our great actors but never a mention of M/K. Attenborough's Liniker and Maynard. M/K is a wonderful actor but he always stays out of the News. From Jorchants.I don't want him to be famous when he has gone. He needs the Glory NOW.

Concur with those who say one of the best series ever made. I've stopped buying DVDs since Netflix to save money but I want to own all of the Foyle's War episodes so I can watch them anytime I need a Michael Kitchen/Christopher Foyle fix. Everything about this series and everyone involved in making it is first-rate.

Nice opening sequence.
Have to say that Foyle's War is a favourite. Clever scripts, fantastic cast, wonderful feel to a sophisticated show.
It's sad to hear that season 6 will be the last :(

I'm currently watching this series... I've only seen two episodes, but I really like it!
It's just my style.. murder, mystery, detective work, Michael Kitchen IS a great actor.
I liked his driver a lot.. "Can I come, too?"

Watching the series from the beginning is best if possible. I saw season 3 first and then was fortunate to find the first two seasons at my library.
I was able to watch season 5 a few weeks ago from a Australian tv recording; it ends with a real stunner...

Michael Kitchen is a great actor and I loved this series on PBS. The series concerned the work of a detective at the beginning of the war in Britain. He was a widower and his son was in the RAF.

I beg to disagree - it suits me down to the ground. It also became very popular in on Dutch and Belgian PBS channels, so I got to see it three times.
