Kudos on your wish to become a body donor -- I am registered with a med school, and would love to become a teaching speciment in gross anatomy when the time comes.

There are a lot of medical schools that accept your body, But there is a chance that the school of your choosing does not accept cadaver's. Also it is a good idea to tell your friends and family obviously. Last thing you would want after you are dead is a fight to own your corpse. Contact the school of your choosing to start the process

yes this body is real. I personally work on cadavers everyday at EVMS (Eastern Virginia Medical School). The smell is horrible at first but then you get use to it after a while...interesting stuff

it's not disrespectful at all. in all my cadaver work the amount of learning going on was tremendous and all the students and professors had the utmost respect for the donation the person made. we owed our class to them. and no one ever forgot it.
