  • In the first 9 notes of the solo Capton is quoting "Blue Moon" by Rogers and Hart. The most famous version of the song is probably the doo-wop version by The Marcels.

  • @JerryMungo

Lmfao, I was just thinking about that the other day. I was like, "Damn, that solo sounds alot like that oldie Song Blue-moon" Haha nice to know it wasnt just me.

I also want to apologise to you, I used to have comments on the style you posted your tabs but thats just the regular style of writing them down.

  • how do you get your guitar to sound like that. please i must know.

  • Comment removed

  • Thats not a les paul. Les pauls dont have the cutaway on the top, or that many frets.

  • who said it was a les paul?

  • some guy called bumsdrums, earlier on in the thread.

  • @Ediblemittens its the same number of frets as the average les paul,

  • man your awesome, but i can't access to your website! why? i click the link of your website and it sends me to 50megs, then i dont know what to do! helpe me please

    BOB rocks

  • Awesome lesson!!

  • dude thank u. u dont know how long ive been looking for a lesson on this

  • dude me too

  • he needs te be a youtube partner

  • I really would like to see more of your right hand in your videos.

  • Just watched this. Thank you good sir for the introducktion. You are a scholar.

  • What's the point to learn the solo, when you could just jam (improvise) your own solo just on the D scale... And it's fun!

  • because although its fun and fucking awesome to improv solo, learning solos is good to because it hones all your skills to be able to have to play faster and in different areas and it also gives you the chance to learn how other people solo

  • Yes, for beginners... But although, it is good to learn the actual solo, because all guitarists took their time and effort into making the guitar solo... They didn't just improvise, improvising is for live performances... But in the studio, no improv, a lot of work... And you learn new licks... What is a solo without a lick, well just you going up and down a scale... But since I learned this already, I'm telling you beginners to keep practicing till you can have fun on the guitar with ur skills.

  • thanks a million dude ive been wanting to play the solo and its wrking im starting to be able to play it thanks

  • dis solo doesnt look fun to play

  • y u no use your les paul?

  • yay :D i saw exactly same guitar as u bought a while ago :)

  • hey good song, and u did it really good

  • LEAFS SUCK

  • bob, your an amazing guitar player but work on your voice

  • jajajaja xD

  • ahaha The first song i learned eveer.. although nvr nailed the solo exactly note for note..THX A BUNCH BOB!!!

  • yes! , toronto canada was back! lol , great lesson bob

  • yeah i'm back...i planned my "comeback" with my leafs jersey and the "i'm bob from toronto canada" line, lol....

  • lol ,

  • This new kind of lesson is a lot better than the old ones. Especially when you show each riff of the solo with both normal and slow speed.

  • sweet I like the other s of your l lesson and I'm glad you did the solo.

  • The original is incredible--clapp's sound aaagh

  • how do u get that solo sound ? please send me a message how to do...please

  • <This is gonna be my bands first song, pretty easy.

  • great lesson bob, but one thing though, I don't know if you know this song but if you do, could you please make a video lesson on how to play "Cities On Flame With Rock & Roll" by Blue Oyster Cult.

  • Agree.Awesome old song with a great riff ) Would like to learn it too.

  • I think this guy is the most talented guitar player on youtube...

  • My band did the Jimmy hendrix live version of this song.

  • i liked it more when you explained all the parts not through tabs..

  • not easier to understand WITH tabs?? i thought it would be, rather than me explain every note.....besides, people say they find my voice annoying after a while, lol....

  • Is there some kind of joke within your name? I've always wondered why the name "BobbyCrispy" b/c the "Crispy" makes my head churn...

  • because my last name is "crisp"....which is old english for "curly headed one"....:-)

  • well, tabs help but i usually go watch a video on how to play something so i can get more in depth on how to actually play it not just get it played slow with a tab next to it

  • omg an adult who uses lol properly, great lesson, and as a suggestion, how about cocaine solo, no pressure but im trying to do it wit my band

  • @BobbyCrispy for me tabs are useful

  • PWNAGE. That was great.

  • Didn't you already do a lesson of this song?

  • He just did the riff to it.

  • intro only i think

  • finally!!!!!

Thanks Bobby, im a huge fan

  • nice

  • Thank you I was just practicing the riff a little while ago.

  • haha third not second seconds too late :)

  • dangt, why did everyone give me a thumbs down?

  • thanx Bob
