I'm looking for a way to make caramel topping sauce with ingredients I already have on hand. Is there anyway that one could make this much thinner to use as a sauce? Like the type you would use over icecream. Plan on using it over Apple-Cheesecake bars.
this is the best!!! for the same purpose, i used to "cook" the condensed milk over low fire and the milk evaporated to a half!!! i didn't know i can do what you showed!!! thanks for the "magic" tip :-)
It doesn't matter that it had a flip top.
You're supposed to poke two holes in the top of the can to relieve any and all pressure

Hi, I have a question, If I wanna make caramel apples, would this be a good way to make the caramel?

@min2jyjhomin
depends. if you want a stiff caramel you'd be better off making a toffee mixture and dipping the apples into it.
You'll want a use for all the remaining toffee though :P

Thank you for this video, but the background music is distracting and unnecessary.

Eagle brand has some cans with flip tops and if Chef Micheal Smith uses a can with a flip it should be fine.

My can has a fliptop. Oh well, I'm gonna try anyway.
