The game will still be great without being able to kill civilians. life isn't about kill kill kill. Just appreciate the game. It may not be better than GTA but its fun.
when you are just roaming around in the city, can you kill civilians or find gangs on the streets and kill them? because i mean otherwise there is nothing to do wen your in open world, besides drive cars and walk around....
This is one astounding game, it blows GTA DS out of the water. The graphics are slick, no slowdown on the DS, the vehicle controls are great, very smooth, better than any racing game I've played on the DS (i.e. them all). And the shooting is a real surprise... You press the left bumper then go into a RE4 style camera, works beautifully.
Even DS fans have doubts about how the games actually play, but in this case it really is as slick and pretty as it looks.

and why would there be limits to running over people in on the ds? you can still gun down gangsters....so why not peds? unless the cop has some moral side like tony did in scarface...no limits to killing in that game but the excuss to not kill innocents was taken from his morals from the film. his henchmen, could kill anyone though

Could of been so much better than what it came out to be. Still, for graphics alone, it looks really awesome

Producer: Wow, Rockstar really screwed this game up.
Developer: Yea i know, were are the 3d features?
Producer: Hey lets create a game like gta on the ds to prove to ds fans and rockstar that the ds has the capabilities to mkae a free roam game.
Developer: Yea that'll teach em'!
Producer: But their could be a flaw including glithces and pedistrians that cant be killed.

well they must have a reason for boats, work them into the story and mission variety.
i like the game, i think its pretty good. if you know someone who has it or will get it...at least give it a chance
