@carbonz1995 It was a multimedia project for college. The brief was to pick a song and add the words to appear as they are sung. I was inspired firstly by the word Bassline and decided on Bassline on Baseline (A play on the word Baseline) for the title. I then created it in flash using as many fonts as possible with the words changing fonts to the rhythm set in keyframes on a green baseline. I even managed to use the font wingdings for the parts where there are no words. I hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the complement, its much appreciated. I used Flash flash mx 2004 and It took hours. First you have to select the right music, as I don’t think it would work with every song. With this song the rhythm is what makes it. 1 second, From 2:02 to 2:03 the rhythm get even faster and it was the most difficult part to match with images.

This song also allowed me to play on the words “Bass line” (as in sound) and Baseline where most letters sit, apart for lowercase letters like g, j, p, q, and y (descenders) which extend below the baseline. I chose a different colour (green) to highlight the “baseline” and to establish an anchor point for the type.

The fonts were chosen for the most part at random but I made a point to use as many as possible and as different as possible to illustrate movement, to give an effect; kinda like the type is dancing. Where there are no lyrics I chose symbols from fonts like windings. Even the red “blues brothers” images at the end, is from one of those symbol fonts, which I animated. Hope this helped.

The music would need to have a high BPM. The higher the tempo the better, I think it'll work. Also of course the song needs to be cool.
