I'm wondering what the criteria for "winning" this race was. Did the car have to go a lap around, and the jet had to do the same distance? Its hard to have a race between two vehicles when they aren't running the same track. :P

the f-16 never had a rolls Royce engine. and all falcons have the electric/hydrolic actuators. just the newest block 52's the GE engine is to loud to hear it. going mach 1+ would break your eardrums, but not so much glass. the mythbusters tested it with the blue angles at 100 and 50 ft agl. took several passes by the hornet to get a window to shatter.

the comparison is made over a short distance from a standing start you moron. obviously the plane has a higher top speed, but it's 30 times heavyer than the car, so it's initial acceleration will be comparable until it leaves the runway.
