  • I make flax bread 3 times a week!

  • Awfull kitchen, needs some remodelling. About the flaxseeds one can buy them already grind.

  • @portair12 It's my understanding that you only get the best benefits from grinding then eating immediately. That seems to be the way with lots of foods.

  • Your name could have been hunk :0P

  • this is my fav video

  • yea flax seed is loaded with the female hormone estrogen, terrible if your trying to get built.

  • The seeds expand when they hit the moisture in your body and can constipate you; it can be painful and dangerous. Grind what you need for a couple days or week at most and keep in fridge. Chia, or Mila which I have, can be expensive. Flax is easy and cheap to get. Roasting kills off some benefits. The grinding releases the oils, hence the need to refrigerate. Use this for the Budwig protocol for cancers.

  • can i eat raw uncrushed sesame seeds?

can you eat uncrushed flax seeds?

  • why don't you have a shirt on? My god.,..

Besides you probably look so young because you've got some botox..

    Looks like it.

  • @Soschwoons - Sorry, just the thought of Botox makes me nauseous.

  • chia seed gives the same or better amount of omega and its easier to use and consume, do you use chia in your diet?

  • @kissythecutie - Yes I do :o)

  • From a woman's point of view he deserves many thanks for multiple reasons.

  • I think the point to using the grinder versus pills and such is because of the freshness aspect. Correct?

  • @rjm420silverback - ya that's right.

  • @rjm420silverback Cant we just chew flaxseeds?? I mean chew them until they are thoroughly crushed.

  • @pobanmanu - Probably but I've never tried.

  • Do you think eating roasted whole flax seed is beneficial in lieu of grinding it? I've read conflicting information about that.

  • @Zer0AltitudeCal - Roasted = cooking so I think raw is better - other posters that mention flax should not be heated are probably right.

  • Flax is also powerful Omega 3, 6 anti-oxident

  • KAHUUUUUUUUUUUUUNKA!!!!!!! D:

  • Great idea... This would taste a lot better than the flax seed oil... And you can mix it in with a lot of things.

  • wow i really need this stuff... hmmm thanks alot man???

  • Have you tried Flax Fit? Flax Fit is a flaxseed tablet, much better than eating flax seed. Check it out. You can buy it on Amazon.

  • lollolol

  • Remember that when you grind flaxseed, you also release some toxins, so don't overuse it.

  • GOOD LORD!! How can I get my Hubby to Eat FLAXSEED!!.....and he's 43!! darnnnnnnn....

  • im only 16 and wondering if will Flax ir soy bind my bones or make me not grow anymore?

  • @OhShaTiTsTim

If this in not a joke, just stop drinking milk with all those hormones! Avoid all dairy products. Eat only organic meat or no meat at all. All contain hormones. Eat mostly fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, legumes.

  • @elbanydaer - Yep!

  • i was told Flax causes diaharea is that true?

  • @CIarKent It can if you take it in large amounts. About 2 tablespoons full should not cause any issues. If you start to have "troubles", take it with drinks or foods that are known to have the opposite effect. I've been fine with it. I'm no expert. Just my personal experience.

  • @Pendragon1717 is it ok to store ground flax seed powder in the refrigirator?

  • @CIarKent - I think it's better to eat it immediately.

  • Wouldnt this increase omega 3's though when we also need omega 6?

  • Flax is great but Hemp seed and Chia seeds is 100 times better.

  • sprout the seeds by soaking them for 8 hours and it opens them

  • Lol, I've been using a pestle and mortar, It takes friggin ages!

  • hemp seed better than flax seed dude, but both goooood!

  • ha ha ha...dude you are very funny! this makes you fart like a power rocket to the moon....i suppose if it gases ..its good!

  • I grind the flax seed in my blender you just have to move it around a bit with a spoon

(carefully, that is) I as mix wheat germ with it.

  • is there a limit of how much you can take and if you consume more than 2 ts are there any side affects?

  • Flax seed rules!

  • I got a great flax seed and chia seed blend on amazon called Fitflax. It's delicious in cereal and shakes, and you don't have to grind it. Great energy.

  • Thanks ,Mike ,, you said it perfectly ...and guess what ...you just promoted coffee grinders ..how about you getting your own patten and call it the kahunka flaxseed grinder ..... whoola .......thanks again ...

  • flaxseed = EFAs = anabolic property + anti catabolic property = Mr fit. yeah baby.!!

  • dude... yeah so u eat it and get ripped? haha No really?

  • At first I was thinking about taking it but I just found out that it causes the estrogen to build is that true?

  • @Swift19850 - On the contrary phytoestrogens like that found in flax have a much weaker effect hormonally speaking than the the endogenous estrogens produced in your body. These "plant" estrogens bind to estrogen receptors and block the more powerful "human" estrogen thus reducing the overall estrogen effect in the body.

Do a Google for this... "Linus Pauling Institute flax estrogen" and you'll find at least one study that supports this.

  • @kahunka - Xenoestrogens (industrial toxins) are a huge problem and may be responsible for higher estrogen levels in humans but IMHO I think it is wrong to associate these compounds with phyto(plant)estrogens.

If anyone knows a study that show that phytoestrogens cause estrogen-like effects in the body, please show me.

Above all I'm a truth seeker so if I ever though flax could be harmful I would remove this video in a second.

Flax seed has been cherished and consumed since ancient times.

  • I'm trying to gain clean muscle going from 153lbs to 165lbs I have been eating 2150 cals a day and training for 7 weeks now I have 17% body fat.

Unfortunately I have not gained a single pound what is the correct and accurate way to work out my calorie needs I have been told everything from multiply your body weight by 11 to I need 4000 calories a day, which seems ridiculous. Thanks.

  • @Talaria7 You don't get muscle from supplements, or any food. You gain muscle by lifting weights because growth hormone is produced from the weight training, that growth hormone gives you muscle growth. The best thing you can do for yourself is better your recovery time. I would recommend Spirulina, Chlorella, Spinach, flax and sprouted grains like buckwheat. You don't need 4,000 calories a day, I get about 1,000 calories a day. With your weight I say 1600-1900. Raw food diet is key.

  • it`s always better to have it soaked over night... it increases all of the nutrients in every seed or nut

  • hemp is better!

  • How do I calculate my calorie needs to gain lean muscle? I weigh 153lbs and 17% bf trying to get to 165lbs and 10% bf. I have been working out 7 weeks now and not gained any weight although I have got stronger.

  • duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude

  • how many grams or scoops or tablespoons of flax seeds should i eat a day?

  • Can you turn it into a hot drink? Like coffee? thats what i was thinking lol

  • Kahunka LOL thats cool dude

  • Woah, I'm Keanu!

    Woah!

  • There's another way to get the ground flaxseed without having to use a coffee grinder and find ways to work it into your food! This product called FlaxFit is a Golden Ground Flaxseed Tablet that just takes the ground flaxseed and puts it in a chewable tablet form. Check it out at flaxfit.com

  • HOW MUCH PROTEIN FOR 1 TBSP OF FLAX SEEDS??? PLEASE & THANK YOU

  • @AQUAMARINETMI - about one gram.

  • @kahunka I'm a little confused with your answer. Is that one TBSP for each protein shake? My protein shake usually has about 35-40grams of protein.

    Thanks

  • wow dude cool muscles!

  • where do you buy this? which particular store?

  • how young are you please?

  • @excellentguy28 - I'm 44

  • @kahunka

Wow. I would have guessed you were about 26.

    No way man ...

  • @kahunka Woah i thought you were like 25. You've done great for yourself.

  • Hi Michael,

I like flax seeds and i put them with my smoothies sometimes. I came across this youtube video which said that flax seeds increase estrogen levels, so it is recommended for women, not for men. it's on kevingianni channel.

  • i gess he was sick.cuz mo muscl.waoo i feel s..for this. you need quality sup. just ki...

  • hell if i look like that i wouldn't wear a shirt too

  • I get this Pumpkin flax cereal when it's on sale for 2.99. It's so good!

  • Amen brother.

  • flax seeds must be soaked overnight before the seed become bioavailable. It has enzyme inhibitors unsoaked.

  • @MrHealthQuest ok...wat dos that mean??dos it mean we have to soak it in water over nite to get the benefits?

  • I's awesome, your body doesn't associate with your movements. You tend to float a lot - a dreamy motion - whilst you torso looks like it could smash concrete.

  • Really appreciate the info, but can you kindly wear a shirt in more of your vids?

  • What else does he put in his protein shake...

  • What about for flax cereal such as a brand as natures path?

  • @Rob120541 Never tried it Rob but raw flax seed is unprocessed which is always a plus.

  • One more question. Do you eat yams?

  • Only four dollars! In the UK that bag would cost £15 probably more.

  • may I suggest an amazing juice?

    wellness-fruitdotcom !!!!

    thaks.

  • bake muffins?

  • Hi Kahunka1 Love your videos and your message about live foods!

Just wanted to emntion that I have been reading that large amounts of flax seeds are no bueno. Something about the high estrogene content. any thoughts?

  • Well Melissa this video is four years old and I just finished eating some ground flax and as far as I know, it has been nothing but beneficial for me through the years.

  • @kahunka what nutrition does the flax give u? may i know approximately how much protein would be in 1 table spoon of flax?

  • @kahunka what nutrition does the flax give u? may i know approximately how much protein would be in 1 table spoon of flax?

  • @chenster420 - Flax contains a variety of vitamins and minerals essential for good health including, iron, vitamin E, the "b" vitamins, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, , copper, molybdenum, silicon, chromium, and cobalt, and zinc among others. Flax also contains alpha-linolenic acid which is a plant-based essential omega-3 fatty acid believed to boost insulin sensitivity inside muscle cells. The cells use these fatty acids to build their cells walls with.

  • @kahunka Oh i see. Do u you know where i can purchase this? maybe in a dominicks or whole foods? And approximately how much should i put in Food? 1 - 2 teaspoons? thanks alot

  • I eat them every day, I boiled them with water, drain them, put the liquid in a glass pitcher and I drink it, is very refreshing :) TKS Michael

  • thanks man!

  • your body is amazing! like a angel

  • are you sure your not gay?

  • Chia as in Chia pets :b Are the seeds the same? Or am I just being silly

  • hemp oil...

  • A very good idea indeed! Never thought of it...always soaked flax seed the night before and gulped it down the next morning. Yuck. So thanks for sharing Michael.

  • no way!!! thats determination man! totally Yuck lol.... :)

  • The Budwig diet mentions that the flax oil is not readily absorbed by the body since it is oil soluble. In the Budwig diet you thoughly mix the flax oil and the ground flax seeds with low-fat organic cottage cheese or Low-fat yogurt.. The sulfur content in the milk products convert the flax oil to a water soluble form that is more readily absorbed by the body. What do you think about that?

  • I don't know anything about that diet. I'm not fan of dairy products.

  • What's you opinion on buying Flaxseed already ground?

  • Thanks, will get out and buy a coffee grinder. Are all seeds more bioavailabe ground?

  • Not sure Betty but in the case of flax seeds, yes.

  • @bestestbetty absolutly! grind them up if you dont you will poop them all out with our any nutrients! i use the grinder for sunflower seeds too because they are SUPER high in vitamin-D, there really aren't any vegan supplements for vitamin D except those. works good for caocao nibs too.

  • Flax seed is banned throughout much of Europe and our FDA will not even grant it G.R.A.S. status (generally regarded as safe). I've read that flax can act as both a vitamin B inhibitor and a thyroid interrupter. A far better and safer option is Chia.

  • Chia seeds are great. I've been eating flax for years and am in excellent health so I guess they are safe for me.

  • are you gay

  • Also do not store ground flax seeds, but use them shortly after you grind them.

  • i take udo's oil which contains flax seed oil along with other omega 3,6,9 efa's its a 2:1:1 raito i think and its very very good

  • I go with a tablespoon of flax and a tablespoon of organic pumpkin seed. Grind these in a coffee bean grinder. Dump them on gluten free cereal with hazelnut milk.

  • His body looks good. He doesnt have to put a shirt on, unless he would be a fat fucker like most of the posters here.

  • i take flax seed oil capsules thats gonna help right ?

  • Why does everyone mention that hes got no shirt? He's making videos about being healthy. He's in his 40's and looks amazing. He's showing that he practices what he preaches, and it works.

  • Nature made us without shirts... I like yoru comment, Kahumka does look amazing, and he has every right to show it off!

  • @Lewis1985 Certainly it doesn't come down to using flax seed or other supplements, dumb ass! The use of steroids is crucial for good results, plus hard work and a decent nutrition, nothing else. Having said so, I also admire this guy and I'm not putting him down.

  • A MAN HOW LONG HAVE YOU BIN WORKING OUT

  • 23 years or so.

  • hello dearheart, you have now become a role model of mine. I think it is great you post these videos...

  • So what? He is just showin off his stuff!

  • dont bake flax!!!!! bad bad bad

  • Why what happens?

  • The universe collapses in on itself in one final, giant riotous act of self destruction. Life forever terminated from existence.

  • I like flax, I use it in the same way as him, but I also eat salmon, just in case. I mean, some people say that flax has ALA fatty acids and that they are not as effective as those in fish oil. So, I use both :)

  • LOL KAHUNKA your freaken funny, put your shirt on...soon wat a response lol

  • haha this guy is like a 3d animation

  • thanks bro, love your vids. you Rock!

  • with all that healthy eating you cant afford a shirt huh?

  • lol, that was fun! :D It seems that bodybuilders don't own shirts :)

  • @lumpybruisychickeny1 -These videos are made for a fitness web site so I like to show that I'm fit and practice what I preach.

  • @kahunka I couldn't care less about what you do. I just want information. What you do is what you do and has nothing to do with me or what I do. What you eat has little bearing on your actual "fitness" or a "strong body." You can look fit and healthy in exercise and calorie control.

Wear a tight shirt, it's better than nothing. If that fitness site pays you enough that is.

  • @kahunka I'd like some advice from you. How much cardio do you do to get so trim?

  • @martynblackburn1977 - Mostly I do resistance exercises and eat a healthy diet. When I do cardio, I run about 3 miles at the beach barefoot in the softest sand I can find maybe twice a week right now.

  • @kahunka Thanks.

  • @lumpybruisychickeny1 Jealousy doesnt pay off mate. Behave ya self.

  • u got great pecs dude.. i got some myself .. hell yea flax is awesome.. i got a bag of some ground up flax.. i can eat it with... yogurt.. is best for 1.... i imagine any of that cholesterol ur getting from the yogurt gets flushed right out with the flax....on top of oatmeal makes it dry but its decent.. however flax is way to bitter to eat by itself ide say

  • thank you for the how to eat flax seed.

    itwas informative.

    thanky ou.

  • I'm allergic to peanuts/nuts etc, so am I allowed to take flax seed oil? Im just wondering if it's related to nuts cause people say it tastes like nutty?

  • I don't know, that is a good question for your allergist.

  • usually processed with nuts

  • what happenes if you eat alot of flax seeds, can you gain weight?

  • You'll gain weight if you eat a lot of anything.

  • please put a shirt on.....

  • What happened to you Michael?

You have not made a video in 3 years.

  • Soon.

  • What a great body! Not just hard work and discipline only, also genetics gave his the skeletal structure. Amazing. I hope he keeps making videos, they are very informative. He does have a strange affect, and I hate it when jealous jerks accuse him of being gay because he looks so much better than they do. You creeps better pray that he is gay, cause your wife would leave your sorry ass if she had a shot at him!

  • Hi Micheal...what are your views on flax meal vs. germinated flax? Do you think we really need to have germinated flax in order to benefit the most? I tried the flax meal ( where it already comes grounded) and its sooooooo good! By the way you have the perfect male body!

  • Honestly I do not know, I have no personal experience with germinated flax buff, sorry.

  • oh you are sexy and yes flax seed oil is very good for you;-)

  • thank you for sharing your healthy tips. :)

  • Man, make more videos! Your videos are great but there only seven in your channel!

  • Remember to drink lots of water, when taking flax seed, you don't want to get clogged up.....

  • give the guy a break

  • Thanks for the video Michael. I've been using flax seed oil since I had laser eye surgery and it really helps for the dry eyes side effects. I didn't believe it would help until I googled "flax seed dry eyes" and saw all the hits. I'm buying in bulk for less than $2 per pound and using the coffee grinder like you suggested. Thanks for the help!

  • To tlewis7777: How are your eyes now?

  • anyguy that wax's his eyebrows is a faggot

  • Oh dude jus sayin what she said.LOL! I bought some and am likin it kinda like sunflower seed taste. thanx

  • Now why in the hell would one have to do this presentation shirtless? I think someones ego is bigger than their muscles. Good information, but someone seems a little into themself...

  • 1) To get more video views.

    2) To show I practice what I preach unlike many of the commenters on here.

  • Because we need so see his results. People should no listen to people who are unhealthy.

  • is flax seed for reall??

  • my mom biols it and drinks the gue.

  • first thing my wife said was "hes gay"??? why she think that??? good info tho!

  • botox much?
