How is it that Rodgers in just a few bars has you in a submarine searc hing out the enemy and in the next few bars calls forth courage and duty . And somehow you feel the danger even as Japanese cymbals clash your riding the waves and feeling inspired. I;m told that Benne4t deserves much credit for tying this together. It's a tribute to genius and the U S Navy and all our servicemen of the greatest generation. God Bless them all

I wore this album out when I was sixteeen years old. Thank you so much for putting this up. Richard Rodgers was my hero when I was a kid. Yes, I was into all of the r&r, but the man was a genius. I remember reading a critique by someone who said that he was not a music critic; he only knew that when he heard this music, it moved him. It said it all.
