  • At last. A British person.

  • This is a brilliant tutorial. Informative and beautifully spoken. You have a classic accent, soft and well modulated. I will look out for more of your tutorials on digital painting.

  • This was actually really helpful :-) and here I thought there was some amazing secret to it haha cheers xx

  • i luv my brummy accent. . . :p ;)))

  • I use surface blur, but which is better? Surface or Gaussian?

  • Sorry, but the copy and paste part in the beginning wasn't clear. I was hoping to learn that. Thanks.

  • I love the British accent :]

  • Alright, before I even watch this, please do not assume only American's bash the Brits. I myself am American, (English/French/Bolivian/Irish ethnicity) and for one love Europe. Just don't assume all Americans are the same, for that would be like suggesting every European is the same.

  • @Moogeled what a stupid comment, where did she specify her comment was aimed at Americans?

  • @minamoopoo Read the description.

  • u have a sexy accent lol

  • Mnemosynex, I have heard some awful accents on some youtube tutorials, but yours isnt one of them. I rather liked listening to you. The people that I have a hard time listening to is the ones who constantly use "erm" and "eh", usually (but not always) New Yorkers. Now to the tutorial itself. I found it very helpful.... hugely helpful infact. Have not long started using CS5 and getting used to all the new functions is very new to me so thanks loads and hopefully you will do more tutorials!!

  • This helped so much! And just fyi, your voice is lovely!

  • crap

  • hey is this a website or a software then??? j/w

  • I love your accent, so sexy.

  • Nice voice ^^ Uk ftw.

  • thank you.

  • Thank you! It helped a lot :D

  • Thank you! It helped a lot :D

  • I got stuck right before the history brush. You said ctrl+alt+z? but that just deleted the action in history and then wouldn't let me use the history brush! :(

  • haters gonna hate

  • I really love this tutorial. Thank you so much! And I love your accent. I am so jealous. I have always wanted a British accent. I think that you sound way more intelligent in a lot of ways than American accents... trust me... I don't like the way I talk.

  • om a black country bloke, yo be a yam yam maybe?

  • Watched your tutorial, been searchin for a good one for years, thank you, and i saw your birthdate, youre bday one day after me:D 8 oct:D anyway, good job there mate!

  • great, you made her look like a skeleton. >_>

  • I personally and honestly LOVE your accent - original and sexy :), ohh yes the tutorial is good too. Although I know photoshop pretty good I like to see other people's techniques/ways of fixing things etc... just maybe next time try to explain more of why what your are doing - especially for newbies to photoshop.

  • Awesome Video, Thanks for your help!

  • why would anyone bash your accent???????

    I love the British accent

i lost a few words in translation but i still love the accent :))

  • Loved your video! And i must agree with @zenobiaaa, your accent is so beautiful. British accent is by far the most beautiful accent in the english spoken countries!

  • Yay that was heaps helpful and alot quicker than the other way I was looking at doing it (which didn't want to work on my computer :( )

  • I think your accent is adorable :)

  • Thank you! :) That helped.

  • Thanks. that was really helpful =]. YOu really arent that bad at speaking =p. To make it better you could have explained what you were doing and why a bit more. thanks

  • @666DUGE666 Aye, thank you. I realize that now, it was my first video tutorial and I was mega nervous. Haha. *cringes* But I realize now. Thanks for the advice x

  • Brummysssss (Y)

  • @FuzzyVixen FTW. :D

  • @Mnemosynex no

  • Good video, im a bit shocked but not totally suprised at some of the comments from the likes of Anymajordude5, but I suppose he/she doesent have the brains to realise your speaking english with an english accent ? I can only imagine the crap id have to take if i posted a video here with my accent?

ANYWAY, anyone posting videos here that help others learn and enjoy photoshop and enjoy photography, you people are doing good, don't be put off by morons, keep up the good work.

    Chris

  • fuck your accent to the degree i cant understand hardly any of what you are saying. At least try to make your words deciperible

  • @Anymajordude5 just must be fucking deaf then!

  • Ps. I love you're accent

  • very good video :D i can now do it all by my self (:,

and i love your accent, there's just some arseholes who are jealous of it. :P

  • woooo british people on the internets yeh

  • Great Tutorial! Thank you!

  • i find british accents are very sexy

  • sexy accent :) very freshing...nice tut

  • i think your accent is fine :D

  • i think its great

  • Brummy accent ftw, im the same ;)

  • I live in Staffordshire, so I have a bit of a brummy accent I would say :) Thanks for the tutorial it helped me a lot. And like others, I just presumed this video was another annoying American :)

  • brummys :D Im from midlands I was expecting a slightly annoying american accent!

  • whay dont just use the blur tool? : S i get the same effect. Is ther som reson whay i sould us this method?

  • Because its better for editing, by key, you shouldn't make surface edits on your original layer, its easier to go back to later!

  • and why not changing it into a smart filter?

  • @croccofanto no, you don't get the same effect by just using the blur tool lol.

  • rawr try surface blur!

  • Frankly speaking, British accent is much more lovely than American accent.

  • @zenobiaaa Americans have ACCENTS. We're a melting pot but returning to her accent, I find it absolutely beautiful. I'm from a very diverse background, so I'm a bit of a mutt and I guess I have one of those dirty accents that you just can't quite figure out lol. So, I'm pretty jealous because people don't have to harass her with questions to try and figure out her background.

  • @Dark0Malkavian Brits have accents too, not just one. Haha, you hear my accent then go further north and get the liverpudlian accent [which I hate. XD] and then the yorkshire accent. And theres the londoner accent, and all the ones in between. I've been told I have a very mixed accent on my other videos, even got told I sound australian. XD I think its picked up from talking with others. But yay for not getting harrassed! :D

  • the alt on windows is the alt key on a mac, ctrl on a pc is cmd/apple key on a mac, nice vid thanks, i learnt alot

  • I for one, loved your accent. (:

  • BOSTIN! WOOP im just brit haha awesoem tut thanks =] 5star

  • theres nothing wrong with your accent :)

    good job

  • Bostin accent!

  • I am using Photos Shop 4. I was using the air brush (very new at it) and at some poit it stops & tells me: Alt-click to define source point to be used to repair the immage. I am lost.

Alt-click messes me up, what do you click when you press Alt?

    Many tks.

  • You mean clone tool? If you alt click a bit lower than your blemish, or left or right to, then click the blemish, it will clone the part you clicked in the first place, but for blemishes you should use spot removal tool.

  • @goreglavu Where can I find the spot removal tool?

I do not see it on the meny on the left.

    Many tks again.

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I thought it was great and the accent is delightful!

  • I think your accent is quite nice. Northern UK? Like Liverpool, Birmingham area? I've been to the UK many times and I have always had a great time there.

    I like your videos

    Cheers

  • Liverpool is no where near Birmingham and they have a distinctly different accent. XD And Birmingham isn't up north. But yes I'm from Birmingham. Which is west midlands btw. Thank you :D

  • Those americans... silly them.

Don't like brummy accents ;) btw I thought that there was a letter "T" in the alphabet... use it ;D

  • Actually my phrasing was very poor. I did not mean that Liverpool and Birmingham were close to each other, as obviously they are not. I worded that badly. I was just really listing the locations, generalizing. As far as the accent goes, your right of course. Folks from Liverpool and or Sheffield have accents that almost sound scottish to me. My apologies for any offense I might have caused with my assumptions. Never been to Birmingham, I am sure its lovely.

    Thank you for your comments

    Cheers

  • cool accent man. peeps just suck and jealous

  • idk what others have with your accent... i really like it more than american ... i'm romanian :P

  • omg i love your accent

  • VeRy good . I found out by trial and error the combination on a mac for CTRL+ ALT = ALT+COMMAND+Z.

Keep it up girl really proud and grateful for this.

  • What a lovely accent you have. There's only one thing lovelier than British accent and thats a British smile

  • got confused where he did ctrl alt on pc , use a mac what is corresponding key?

  • *she. If you listen...I'm pretty sure I said that I believe it is the command key. :)

  • tired that already its not the command key. managed to do the tutorial until it got here. Please everyone whats the corresponding of ctrl + alt on a mac?

  • I like your accent... & thanks for uploading this video.

  • Who would hate your british accent? It's so cute.

  • You are awesome, I like this tutorial. And by the way, I love your british accent (not kidding). Could you upload a HQ video, it seems a bit blurry. Greetings from Mexico.

  • Unfortunatley I cant. D: It wont let me, It compressed really badly for some reason, and the better quality was over 100MB but I might re-make it at some point if I can find the software I used to record what I was doing and see what I can do.

  • add:

    &fmt=18

to the end of the link at the address bar!

  • It doesn't change the quality though. Youtube puts it in HD yeah, but it does nothing for the video when it has such crappy quality originally. D:

  • this helped me a lot! thanks!

  • omg please narrate my life!

    i love your accent.

    its quite sexy.

    great tut.

  • Great tutorial. Can't resist commenting on the accent (more accurately, how you prefaced the tutorial with a polite chastisement to not slag on your accent): I am American, and can't deny how, embarassingly, so many of my countrymen live as though there's no other place on the planet besides the U.S... and therefore don't learn ANYTHING outside of what is immediately predigested and fed to them. Your accent is more understandable than the regionalisms that come from Tennessee & New York. Thanks

  • Thanks. I'm glad you can understand it. People kept commenting on how they couldn't understand me and my accent and stuff. Some rather offensive comments, too. So I felt compelled...to tell people to stfu and not be ungreatful and accent-bash.Not that polite ;] Its a type of discrimination after all! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. :)

  • seductive voice

  • wow, this is the best one yet.

  • hey my fellow brummy!..just showin some brummy lurv! (",) great stuff xxx

  • this is really good thankyou it worked perfectly.

No need to worry about your accent it was good for me because I'm English and most of these tutorials are American and it can be quite hard to understand. I also liked the way you went really slow, was good for beginners like me :)

  • thanks soo much! :)

this is probably the best airbrushing

tutorial ive seen thanks again :D

    & your accent is fine

Try having a Welsh Accent like i have

    Lmaooo xD x

  • Pssh. Nout wrong witha Welsh accent. <3 My friend Jen is Welsh, when she got annoyed, her Welsh accent cam through so strongly, I couldn't help but giggle. Seemed so weird at the time, but I'm used to it now, I laugh at my own voice instead. XD

  • Thank you very much. I'm from Germany and have this stupid german Version of Photoshop and I couldn't find out how to airbrush, but now I know.

  • Hey im here for you im british and i live in scotland

  • *High five* <3 I'm part Scottish. =D

  • Thanks for this, it really helped!

  • I really like your accent! :)

  • omgsh i dun understand how ne1 cud bash ur accent

I LOVE IT its so cute!:)

and thanks so much this helped alot!

  • thats a cool photo.

  • Great Video

Thanks a lot keep up the good work xx

  • when using the history brush, you didn't say what setting had to be changed as far as mode, opacity, and flow... I have tried to get the effect you are getting, but i dont see it... so i thought it was due to the fact that you didn't mentioned the settings when using the history brush tool. So, is there something i'd need to change to the mode, opacity or flow?

  • The settings are set to default. Are you sure you did all the steps? Results vary image to image, and the amount you blur before using the history brush.

  • I like your accent xP :)

  • Hehe, thanks. :3

  • This is a very good and very informative video. Thanks.

  • I'm very glad it was useful!
