Typographic treatment is extremely poor. I would suggest that you come away from the computer. There is no evidence of design process or design thinking. No grid system or any design principles have been applied. It seems like you have just followed some photoshop tutorials

you know if there is a job within the videogame industry for graphic designers?? ive wanted to study something new and ive only ever leaned towards graphic design and video game art.,,, if there were a way to mesh the two together, it would be awesome, im unaware of a job like that at the moment, - oh and great stuff! very professional!

Graphic Design is a tough field. More designers then jobs out there. You'll most likely end up working for some crappy agency or going freelance trying to scrape by. My advice.. go study something else!

Thank you for your advice. But I would like to say that this is very old stuff from when I was starting to get interested in design. I am a senior design student now and have improved immensely. When I have time Ill probably make a new video with recent stuff that is indicative of my current skills. This video is not. But yes I concur; looking at this video from an outside perspective I would give the same advice.

Not criticizing your work , just saying graphic design biz is very tough. You have to love to hussle as sell your skills or you'll get nowhere, no matter how good you are. My 2 cents

Graphic designer starting pay is between $25,000-35,000 a year with a bachelors.

no point in doing a graphic design masters....im not even sure that exists.. better salary comes with experience ...obviously a senior designer will make alot more than some designer who just got out of school...other way to make the big buck in this field is if ur an A.D or prod director in a decent firm... or go freelance and try to stand out and make a nake out there...

@emptyel freelance is the way to go, I worked at 2 shiz in house jobs and things went much much better after going freelance.

the only way for you to command a higher salary is to produce exceptional work, select your clients carefully, and get as much work experience as you can.

Keep up the good work and don't worry too much about harsh comments. Constructive criticism is good for a designer, sometimes it can hurt, i know it from personal experience but stay positive and focused and you will go places mate.I've just watched another video on YouTube about a competition that is running for the best video made, I reckon you would do well in this competition the video ID is: BI7gn6eYgW8.

I'm aware of the problems in this work. It was done along time ago and I myself don't like a lot of it. I'm a student and am still learning. But what you said was a bit harsh.

Oh, I know!!! This stuff was done out of bordom before I got into design school. My typography has improved quite a bit. Actualy, a lot of things have improved!

I like your Sacramento City College print, and also the red and black etch art at the end. Althoug I didn't get much appreciation of it or your other pieces because you didn't dedicate sufficient time to each part on the video. If you have a series for each work: show the work as a whole and then each part individually.
