2. I made this video because I thought Amy Lee Hartzler would do a bang up job of singing this song. However, at the time she hadn't even been contacted for the another cover.

I blame Reprise. I'm sure My Chem's contract stipulates something along the lines of them releasing x amount of records with them within a certain deadline for each album. Thus, not enough time to make proper demo versions of pretty shit-tastic songs that would have been fantastic had Reprise not stick their grubby hands on My Chem. Just because they launched Green Day doesn't mean all their artists have to sound like them. Fin.

That's what I thought when making this video a long long time ago...In a galaxy far, far away. Sorry...Couldn't resist that one. But I did not have an Amy Lee version a year and a half ago when I made this, all I had was Fiona Apple (and I think she's amazing. Keep in mind, she was popular in the mid and late 90s. But I grew up in the 90s, like I'm sure most people here did, and my first introduction to rock and grunge and all this was Fiona Apple. I was OBSESSED with her song called "Criminal". She is what brought on my love for anything in the rock genre when it came to females. The Cure is what really did me in.

I do like this better. Sorry. While I am a huge Evanescence fan...I don't think the song they're releasing is to her caliber. I love Danny Elfman...But Amy's voice is too...choral for lack of a better term.

Keep in mind that this was also made a whole year before anyone knew Amy would be doing Nightmare (Revisited). And I think releasing another CD with covers this early is a HUGE mistake on the part of Disney.

All in all...I like this version better. Sorry.
