  • oh, i forget the most important question...

tiem to render the whole video and render engine used?

and just small system specs please, just cpu, ram and gpu

im assuming that you made it on 3d max isnt?

  • @kitsune0video I rendered the fumefx pass with scanline and just one light in around 6 hours. The Background it's just a still image (rendered with Mental Ray´s very basic daylight system set up) which I relight with the normal pass. The motion blur, Depth of Field and glows & glare, heat haze distortion were added in post production. I'm using a jalopy Quadcore@ 2.4GHz, 1 GB Nvidia 240 and 4 GB RAM.

  • Its hard to set up fume fx? never tried but your test looks just perfect!

If it comes with presset to make easy the work... :P

  • @kitsune0video No presets unfortunately but the way it works seems to be very natural; I mean, You must emit some fuel in the time the temperature rises so it explodes, you can set up that in the simulation tab in the main float window. Since it's a gun powder explosion the smoke must to be thin. You set up that in the rendering tab in the main floater window.
