Rhythm and Police has measures of gallops and crossover runs. Exotic Ethnic is purely crossovers. PSMO's crossover section is a 290-bpm death run that turns in complicated ways. Everything else is unique to the stepchart.

ITG is MUCH harder than DDR. There is a much bigger selection of hard songs, they require much more endurance to play, and they are in general much more fun for an experienced player. That, and ITG allows the possibility for players to create custom songs... which is where the insanely hard stuff comes in. Watch some of WinDEU's other videos where he plays ITG and you'll see what I mean. For example, this is a 14-foot-level song from Mungyodance:

To answer your question, yes... you can upload songs through USB, though I believe it has to be on a hacked machine. Unfortunately, I don't have an ITG machine near where I live, so I don't know how to go about doing that. Your best bet is probably to search Google, and possibly check the Wikipedia article(s) on ITG Arcade machines.
As another side note, keep in mind that the streams in Destination of the Heart are the same speed as Relinquished. They just don't have stupid crossovers. -_-

They made a good choice in creating one that would be "Top Notch", and that only a few, or even only 1 in the world, could beat. This man, is one. Dancing games steps should follow the sound of the music, and moves like "crossovers" should be used wisely, according to the song. Personally I find that some mungyodance charts show this very well, being hard, but still wisely made.

Second, yah, I mean crossovers are cool; even at higher speeds, but my biggest problem is that actual time signature and tempo of the song never changed, yet there how many stunted rhythms and slow downs? It's almost like Konami doesn't know how to make good charts and difficult songs like ITG does, and as a result just randomly assort where things go. And if it's too easy in some parts, they do the stupid slow downs and stops. ITG is fun because the charts make sense.

DDR => ITG
----------------
Beginner => Novice
Basic => Easy
Standard => Medium
Expert => Hard
Challenge => Expert
So for all intents and purposes, it's the challenge (hardest) chart.
