@ROOTSCONTRA shut up with that kraftwerk. just as many others wrong, that band played music before electro exist. kraftwerk played krautrock which somehow sounds like funk and electro is influenced by funk that's why many are confused and think kraftwerk played electro. electro is called electro funk and is from detroit, influenced by hip hop, funk, synthpop and disco, funk music exists from usa. i didn't offend you cause you don't know trance styles.

@askadetra 1. Kraftwerk made krautrock in their early days but Trans Europe Express is pure electro and it came out 1977. 2. Electro Funk is originally not from Detroit, its from New Yorks early HipHop scene. Africa Bambaata even sampled Trans Europe Express on his biggest hit Planet Rock. 3. Ask any early detroit producer like Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Mad Mike banks etc. and they all will tell you the same. Their main influence for making music was Kraftwerk.

Such a shame James Stinson kicked the bucket. We need more imaginative story tellers in the edm community. To many producers are focused on making the next big hit as dance music has become more commercialized. Fortunately Drexciya were able to release a boat load of material for us to enjoy!
