  • One of the finest videos on youtube!

  • E' perfetto!

  • That poor green beetle has to get passed like 10 times!

  • Mahavishnu Bullitt hits the mark. Boom Sheva'!

  • Fantastic recording. These guys improvised most of the time but it seems everything is written. Billy Cobham at his best, beautiful sound and this phenomenal groove. He can make a snare drum sing. Bullitt is one of the most boring movie I've seen. No rythm...

  • Mahavishnu? Cars? Awesome!!! Thank you for this gift, god.

  • this is probably one of my all time most watched YouTube movies to date, and I try to scrobble each play to Last.fm, way to go, wow!

  • Epic revenge car chasing music.

  • Awesome music! It's too bad it wasn't in the original chase scene. It would've made awesome background music.

  • Another good video. I also like your one for "Hang Ups". You ever go to archive.org to get stock video? It has some nice stuff, but you prolly knew that.

  • Very cool! Thanks for putting that together.

  • A very interesting blooper to be seen here is, start viewing right at 4:06 and you'll see a white car on the right in the foreground. Then pay attention very closely as the Charger comes around the corner. The driver loses control, the charger swurves and then smacks into the white car on the drivers side, rear quarter. IF you can stop the video RIGHT AS THE CHARGER HITS, you'll see the dent in the white car. THEN blackout for a second, and then the white car has NO more DENT. Lol.

  • Mahavishnu is great with this vid.....miss the engine sounds, though.

  • i.e. missed the engine sounds for the first 6 minutes :o)

  • Thats amazing how perfect those two went together!

  • I usually don't like it when people say stuff like this, but: PURE WIN.

  • i'd suggest that you choose a better photo, showcasing the mustang, or the charger or Steve for the video sample (the one you see when you click, the little thumbs on the right of the screen)

  • @Necroman666

..i know, i'd like to change it but those thumbnails are generated automatically after you upload some video and you can choose from three pics.. and those other two are even worse than the current one..

..and thanx for your comments man.. :)

  • @conqa

no prob, dude, u were great doin this video...

i had the same prob with some videos i posted befor, but i can see some of the youtube videos out clearly don't get a 3 pic choice, as it always is, in our case, the first seconds of the movie.

in other youtube videos, you can see that the pic was chosen from parts rather then the start...

maybe we could ask somebody to explain that ...

  • BRAVO! ...BRAVO! ...Freakin' BRAVO! ...what an excellent clip for MVO "One Word" ...and vice-versa. Freakin' BRAVO!!! Good Work, conqa - Thanks!

  • Nice work, Conqa! One of those Dark Side of the Moon to the Wizard of Oz coincidencent events. Love the engine noise from time to time.

  • Merita il massimo dei premi per Musica ed Immagini!!

    All the Best

  • Thsi is amazing!

  • Mahavishnu Orchestra, the breakthrough Jazz-Blues Fusion Group never played at the Fillmore East. as for Mr. Cobham he is a pure Technical Master on percussion can`t add much more. Mr. Mclaughlin`s guitar work is Extraordinary, plenty have commented it is even Divine. Check out the live performances. A truly once in a lifetime effort.

  • This would be a lot better if those awful car noises were absent. They add nothing.. ........Bill Cobham on the drums....A whole lot better than any of you critics will ever be.

  • perfect marriage

  • That's interesting, You seem to be a real fine musical expert seriously! Who is that "negro without groove", that Stanley Cobham you talk about?

Here there is Billy Cobham on the drums, (and no Stanley Clarke on bass nor Stanley Jordan on guitar) but I've never eard about any Stanley Cobham, you seem to know much about that guy and his technique on drumming could you please tell us some more?....

  • LMFAO!!!

  • ahahaha yea he sucks

  • You've got no grasp of English grammar for a white person.

  • HAHAHAHA you loser.

  • Is he driving on san bruno mountainpath?

  • perfect.

  • What a high! Ahhh, to be back at the Fillmore East watching the Mahavishnu Orchestra with sweet smells in the air. Only with Bullitt replacing the Pig Light Show.

  • aaaaahhhh shiiiiitt!!

  • Steve McQueen and John McLaughlin - what a superb combination.

  • a-mazing! a-mazing! a-mazing! wow.

  • hot

  • BRILLIANT , CONQA! One of the greatest musical performances of all time and one of the best visual performances. First class posting

  • Conqa: Amazing meld, man... Billy Cobham pounding to The Chase from Bullitt. Brilliant! THX ! ! !

  • Perfect.

  • 0:18 awesome timing....

  • Haha i watched the whole thing... saw your comment...

And i went to 18.... and i laughed my ass off. The drums stop when he stops and sits.... then when he makes his face... the music begins... haha.

Just sounds like music fitting the emotion of what's going on. Makes me crack a smile.

Love this band... love the music. the video. Great.

  • Yep, at 18 or so was the best synced part. Love JM and MO and Bullit.

  • I have watched 30 seconds of this, and i love it already.

  • I love that album. Now I want to check out this movie. Well done!

  • Awesome

  • LOL that's perfect!!!

  • One of my favorite albums meets one of my favorite movies?!? Can this really be?-LOL Wow...thanks brother, this is awesome.

  • excellent. Undoubtedly one of my favorite bands ever. Also, love this movie. Find a movie match for "Miles Beyond" off that same album if you can. PLEASE.

  • YEA!

  • Oh god man! That poor ol' Charger... :(

  • Yeah, that was fucking epic!

  • That car still gives me the munchies, nice conqa..

  • fuck yeah.

  • That is one of the best sequences I have ever seen on Youtube. My favourite movie, car chase and actor combined with one of my favourite bands. What a great fusion.

  • This is real FUSION!

  • Nice mash up man, really awesome.

  • Sync!!!! If any musicians could talk to each thru thier instruments Mahavishnu Orchestra is probably the best there ever was! They are tight brothers. I seen them in Los Angeles in 1973, they blew my head apart....This is a great video with McQueen and fits too well.

  • es perfect

    increible wn

  • What a song!!

  • what i like about 70's action movies is that you can hear alot of progessive rock bands in them.....

  • i wonder if steve mcqueen was into mahavishnu orchestra, nice work #####

  • haha! 8:10 when he pulls out the gun.

It's perfect!! Great job and great track.

  • also at 4:08, the guy clearly nails that parked car, but then the scene cuts away.

i think the best part of the video is at the beginning. right when the drum roll ends, the camera cuts to the guy's face! it's perfect!!!

  • that was actually the only thing i did deliberately, match his look with the drum roll end.. then my mate noticed that even as he close the car door perfectly matches with da drums..

  • yeah, that's what I thought. but then the song ends RIGHT with the big explosion at the end! that was incredible!

  • also at 6:02 it fits perfectly.

  • And in the end, when the song stops perfectly just in time for the explosion.

  • every time they show the cars going down the hill with the intersections, it's just the same scene over and over again. first it's shot through the windshield of the car in front, then from behind both cars, then from in front of both cars about a minute later. you can see they pass the green wv bug, and then you can see they turn right in front of that brown car

  • That was fucking great.

  • it syncs up even better then wizard of oz and dark side of the moon

  • i like how they drove past that green VW bug like 4 times in a row! lol.

  • Good eye!

  • and i don't usually catch things like that very often either.

  • wow, kick ass!

  • this is really the best thing i've seen in a while haha almost scary

  • well it is quite scary.. even the circumstances were weird. i saw this movie when i was maybe 9, 10 years old and after all this years only thing i remembered was this chase(i even draw a picture when i was little). then when i was about 26 and decided to start making music videos, somehow this car chase was always on my mind, especialy when i was listening to this track.. then absolutly oddly my friends girl had bullitt dvd, so i riped the dvd, cut the scene, put the music in... and my jaw drop

  • ..in the end, there are always some signs around us, sometimes we are able to read them, sometimes not.. aren't we? :)

    thanx everybody for support..

  • @conqa that's what inspiration is!!! this is amazing, your story is a tell, indeed.

i strongly believe that we have a super inteligence in our sub-conscious that lead us to things like this, i mean, the video is well synched and the music totaly fits it too.

  • @conqa it's even crazier that the chase was done on one take & it was real...like the people driving around during that chase were just normal people doing what they normally do everyday & happen to be in a movie for it.

  • cosmic synchronicity! ~:-]

  • Indeed, bro!

  • The shotgun moment is great. Same with rear view mirror.

The very end is a joke. This is a billion to 1.

  • Unbelievable. What a discovery! This is a freakish match. Amazing. What a tune! Non-stop matches. Would be better in the sound mix though.
