Doing what they did to him in MvC 2 was an insult to how tough Thanos really is. In reality, Thanos is nearly unbeatable.

Thanos created her with the Infinity Gauntlet, with the purpose of making Death jealous because she was everything that she is not.

She was Thanos but in female form; she killed Iron Man and Spiderman, and was totally devoted to the Dark Titan.

When Nebula sent them both into space, Thanos did not created her to survive Deep Space, so she died.
