Thank you so much for this wonderful music. If God's kingdom has a place for it, I have no doubt He would appoint you Head-Master of Guitar hyms. Your music sir, does nothing short of touch the deepest realms of the universe. Thank you for that...

I couldn't help but notice that you're sitting like Powell in this video. Does it help that you play his music? (You normally don't sit like that from your other videos.)
Hi there. I only sit like this when it's very asy to play. :-) And sometimes when I relax. If I have to really play something that need my technique, I will sit more correct.
When a young boy in Africa, a Brazilian soldier whose heels I had been tagging, played this song once on his guitar. It was so haunting, that I insisted he teach me. He didn't have time, but he gave me the sheet music. I didn't know how to read and didn't have a recording of it, but I tried the best I could.
That was more than 20 years ago.
Today I remembered I never heard the song played by someone else since that day, and I had no idea if I had ever gotten it right.
Beautifully played. I just got the sheet music for this and am learning it. I wandered on youtube to see an example of how it should really be played, and this is perfect. Baden Powell was an amazing guitarist and composer.
very nice playing Peo, one of the best on youtube.
i would like to know, how do you achieve that pretty echo effect? everyone one of your rooms seem to echo even when they arn't empty...or is that the sound quality of your guitar?
Wow, great interpretation! I'm brazilian and Baden P. is an idle for most classical guitar players here, including me. It is nice to know you like him to. Keep posting, really enjoy your work!
Your interpretation of this masterpiece is better than the original, it's true this is as if you wrote it, your feeling to it changed the whole way I look at this song. I play it for many years and I just love your interpretation of it. In the sheet music in the last part it shows to play the 7th 8th and 6th frets but omitting it gave the song a more darker feel, like the silence you speak of in your introduction. Amazing.
Beautiful, this proves that music is universal, I am from south america and feel very close to this music, you don't look like a latino but you interpret this piece as if you were the one who wrote it, thank you for a wonderful post.

You seem to play notes AND silence in a wonderful way. This makes for a magical listening. I've taken your last comment to stay healthy, though I wish the surgeon that caused so much grief would also stay healthy.
Can you give some detail about your brand of guitar and the recording equipment you use. Thanks in advance.
Hi Michael! Didn't i answer this long ago? Well, I play a Philippe Jean-Mairet. And I have a AKG C 460 mic. since the built-in mic in the camera sucks...
I a happy you are still healthy!! Keep it that way!!

Bravo. Morceau que j'ai travaillé. Je découvre avec plaisir youtube et je suis fan de vos vidéos, de votre qualité musicale. Bravo et encore bravo. Beaucoup d'émotion dans votre jeu.

Oh yes I really ADORE your music. Since I listened half of the night to your music yesterday (just could not stop), I just HAD to buy 2 CD's. One for me and one for a friend. I'm looking forward to walk through nature while listening to your miraculous playing.

Tack!

Beautiful stuff yet again Mr Peo!!!!

Brazileiro is the old fashion to write. What matters is that the tune is beautiful and first class played. You have a soul Peo... Have a happy Christmas, and all the good for you in the year coming.
