The figure I used was the Leia in the bounty hunter Boushh disguise, the outfit she wore in the beginning of the movie. I don't know why they didn't make a slave Leia figure.
Not Bad,.The original"Kenner" figures& Playsets make it all more unique,.it's great How you Used Greedo amongst the'83 gen.reflecting on ROTJ,.I Like Both of the"Klattu's",.Perfect,Luke Taking His Weapon from Him (Skiff Guard),.Great Job,looks Awsome!
Thanks a lot! Glad you appreciate the vintage figures. The new Kenner line had not been created yet so the original figures were all I had. Did you notice the old Yakface and Amanaman figures as well? Those were pretty rare making it all the more authentic!
I really like the fact you use ONLY the real figures and accesories from Kenner plus a little pieces of paper or so... THat's a nice touch. But... where´s Salacious Crumb?!!
Superb. This was something I always wanted to do with my figures but never had the camera. Have you seen the making of R.O.T.J. docu? George Lucas actulally did similar work to yours in his preparation before filming.
this is realy, really cool. the one thing I would do if you did another one of these is to take a few more pictures a second- it would make it less "choppy"
I wish I could have taken more frames a second but it was 1993 and the only camera I had was a crappy 8mm video camera that my parents bought in 1989. It only was able to shoot 6 frames per second. Check out my movie Covert Operatives. I used all 24 frames per second of the 16mm film I shot on for that movie and it's less choppy.
Nice frame for frame homage. In fact I think its pretty cool you managed to get this done in 18 hours. Some people would take a few days to get everything in time as good as you did.
It's even more of an achievement when you did this back in the day when only VHS was available. It must have been painful to keep pausing the tape for reference!
brilliant haha

awesome! what's up with leia's outfit tho??
adjusttint 2 years ago
@adjusttint
This was made before the new line of figures and they didn't have a slave outfit in the original line so I used the closest one I could think of.
covertoperatives 2 years ago
ok, i'm just wondering why they made her that way, was it considered to racy or something for children to be playing with a scantily clad leia??

It wasn't so much a compliment. Just saying I didn't embarrass myself for making it so quickly when I was 16 years old.

For this movie I didn't build any sets or anything. I just sat down and worked on it for 18 hours until it was finished back in the fall of 1993.
