  • after 1939 its moving day

  • hahaha i like how they put the drunk guy in there all fucked up drinkin on his wine hahaha

  • but disney wasnt german. He was part "german-american" because his mother was born in america but her family was german.

  • I love you Fantasia

  • The new Blu ray and DVD release of Fantasia just came out recently which I know that HomeoftheGoodGuys got it yesterday. As for me I am mostly indeed going get it probably for christmas.

  • sorry Dionysus no girls for you... just an ass

  • The Uni-donk is the best part.

  • thank you for uploading this

  • I LOVE!!! fantasia :D, I loved since I was a kid and I still do!

I love disney!!!!!! I just wish Walt would've lived longer :S

  • I would like to live in a world where Walt Disney is God, so that everything would be that beautifull.. :)

  • Beethoven ; C'est tout et cela suffit !

  • I love this. An essential part of every generation's childhood memories.

  • omg, i rember when i was 4 years old an loved this movie!!! an now im 15, shitt i still love this movie, come to think of it this is a great movie to get high to wow!! but anyways i rember wachin this all the time an my mom HATED this movie, she thought it was evil an for some resson she thought this part of the film was about jesus, yeah she thought the fat drunk dude was jesus an she thought they were makin fun of him or sm shit like that oh an she also hated the part at the end with the demon

  • picture says more than words

  • drunken horned donkey lol

  • o my god! now this is wat i call walt disney!

  • assolutamente stupenda la musica..

  • do you see the "heretic" meaning in ALL of disney's cartoons. the fat man is dionysos (or bacchus, depends on latin or greek myths) :o

  • Un très bon disney !

  • I reckon the zebra centaurs are quite pretty.

  • they are but they're still slaves for the white man.... hmmm where did walt get that from

  • i never really realized how trippy this movie is. but i think it's what gave me the ability to understand how music works.

  • To the guy who said they should sue disney... ummm he is dead... frozen even..

  • This is my favourite part of the whole film!

  • Disney should have just kept the zebras. They were cool. :)

    *CL*

  • The zebras is what makes the scene. Disney is getting way to over-sensitive.

  • haha my dad brought me to see this in 94' and he absolutley HATED it. well, of course he did. hes 50 years old now, and STILL talks out how horrible it was back then. haha just like to post that.

  • who is sunflower

  • 1:16 pause; you can see a part of Sunflower (who was censored out for racial reasons) for a split second on the right side of the screen.

  • I don't understand the whole race thing in this section of the movie. There are green and blue and red centaurs. So everyone is different and yet they censored out Sunflower?

  • You know, I really don't understand it either. It, to me, looks like everyone is having a good time, no racism involved. :/

  • best animated movie all time D

  • That wine is looking good right now.

  • A magnificent film. The best looking animated film I have ever seen; even today's CGI can't compare to it. Can't wait for it to come out on Blu Ray next year.

  • me da asco ese video

  • Thanks for the share flybreath - Just what you need first thing to cheer you up lol Plus Copious amounts of Wine FAB lol

  • I like it ^^

  • Semplicemente Fantastica...La Disney é Sempre La Migliore.. Con Le Idee + Belle.. <3

  • even though it was considered racist having the black people be zebras i think its freakin' awesome.i'd rather be a zebra than a smelly ol' horse anyday!

  • Even if coming from Walt Disney, I guess it WAS with racist thoughts, to me it doesn't seem this racist. I mean, originally black people come from Africa, and so do the zebras, whereas white people mostly come from regions where there are no zebras, but plenty of horses... It makes more sense this way...

  • not to mention it was 1940 i'd rather be a zebra than a stereotypical black face big lipped cartoon they had on the old episodes of bugs bunny

  • Walt Disney's Fantasia is, for me, introduction into LOVE AND FREEDOM. Why this autopoietic process of art (beauty), science (truth) and politics (good) is not developing?

  • this was one of my favorite scenes from this movie when i was younger =]

the cute horse things prancin around drinkin wine. WOO!

it's sh*t like this that i hold responsibal for me turning out gay lol <3

  • dos someone knows where i can find the easter rabbits, which paint on eastereggs??

    pleasee help mee!!

  • I played this in region orchestra.

  • My country was being bombed by the Germans whilst the Americans were making musical cartoons.

  • Not every German participated in the war and same goes for every country. Everyone has to make a living, don't you agree? Besides, if it were not for Disney, how could we enjoy the music films, or the animation industry as a world asset today?

  • Americans bombed my country before I was born but I love fantasia!

  • people is making war all over the world whilst you're watching stuff on YouTube then.

beside... "the Germans", "the Americans"... so wrong ways to refer to murdrerer..

  • Watch at 1:15 to 1:16; even though Sunflower the African centaur was originally cut out, you can see her hind just slightly on the right side of the clip.

  • yah, what a lazy edit. It looks really awkward

  • Man Bacchus certainly can drink can't he?

  • i simply love it <3

its way better than the new one fantasia 2000..

  • i love the exotic zebra girls

  • I first saw this in the 1963 theater re-release. I was aged 7. When I saw the movie again in about 1977 (the first primitive stereo restoration), the only thing I remembered from the first viewing were those danged centaurs. Not Mickey. Not the Elephant Hippo Ballet. Not the nuns. Memory can be so selective.

  • When I was a little girl, I picked out my favorite color among the girl centaurs and I totally wanted to be her lol

  • Which one was it?

  • Totally the blue one

  • and you're Beethoven are you?

  • That little donkey always cracked me up, especially at 1:56-1:59 lol:)!

  • fantasia #58 in the AFI's list of greatest american movies. I'm watchin all the movies in the list, in this site:

    blogger-films.blogspot *com

  • for some reason this one always scared me, im almost 16 now and the fat guy with the grapes around his head always creeped me out

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, I'm not alone!

  • That scary dude that chases the girl centaurs, lewd little man

  • i uploaded the whole film in english :)

  • what happened at the end?

there was a dark shadow coming out

  • xShan2: the dark shadow was the rise of Zeus, who was beginning a storm. The shadow was the mass of thunderheads.

  • a pedo was comeing lol

  • OMG I LOVE THIS ONE IT'S MY FAVORITE :Dm

  • Walt Disney studied with Rosencroix people and knews many things upon occult...

  • Fantasia is a very rare video, and I'm glad I have it.

  • awe i love this movie!!! i can watch it over and over again and never be bored w/ it!!!

  • Beautiful video! Thank you Gigiuls!!!

  • BELLE VIDEO BRAVOOO

  • The fat guy does seem to make a mockery of the music somewhat. I think Beethoven was much more realistic in his musical imagery (is there such a thing) at least that is the way I always imagined the imagery. But as with all art I guess even this piece is open to interpretation. The animation does portray the light heartedness that Beethoven wrote into his music.

  • this is my fav part of all the movie of fantasia.greatttttttttttttttt!!!!!!wonderful masterpiece!

  • MERCIII

j'aimais trop ce dessin animé quand j'étais petite

et je l'aime toujours d'ailleurs lol

  • i wonder if beethoven wouldve been pissed to see that his music would be played for this scene. or maybe happy. well either way i think it still follows the nature of music line.

  • i love the donkey!

  • I like the fat one

  • this brings back such great memories of when I was a kid.. I love this movie so much

  • I don't think this is from 1940. is much later than that!

  • It was made in 1940.. Can you believe a great movie like this was made so long ago!!! Best musical ever

  • Look at the title of this video, and you'll see that it IS from 1940.

  • Just a word: A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!

  • Is this like a cleaned up version? I thought I remembered when I was a little kid, I owned a copy of fantasia and this scene had bear breasted centaur women.

  • A lot of things happen when you are a little kid lol

  • bellissima scena! il genio di walt disney colpisce sempre! è riuscito a creare un'opera originale: una storia raccontata da musica e immagini.

    Stupendo!

  • Additionally, in the scene before this, the centaurs are attracted to each other based on color (the blue male centaur finds the blue female centaur and they fall in love, etc.) I think this sends the message (often to a relatively young audience, in addition to adults) that we should look for romance with those whose skin tone matches our own. They've cleaned up their act some since the 1940s version, but the whole scene is still a product of its time.

That being said, I still love Disney.

  • when i was young it never really crossed my mine about finding romance with the colors. i just remember that they all had someone and later went to a party and did square dancing hahah

  • Why should the whole colour-thing only be based on humans with their skincolour?

Disney teaches you the valuable lesson to find in love with a person who fits your personal desires. Whatever skincolour that may be.. Centaurs just do it their own way ;)

  • They are lots of centuars back in 1940s. In the modern day, centuars are no longer seen.

  • Although this has always been one of my favorite Disney scenes, it's also one of the most problematic. Some editing was done from the original film, which depicts black "Aunt Jemimah-ish" characters helping the other centaurs get ready before their ball.

In this scene, I find it troublesome that all of the centaurs are multicolored, non-human colored for the most part, but the zebra centaurs with the black human parts are the slaves of Dionysus, pouring wine while everyone else celebrates.

  • Walt Disney was virulent racist who hated black people -- it's a fact. No matter how much cleaning-up and censoring and banning they do, nothing will chance that. Now they're making "The Princess and the Frog" to try to counteract decades of racism. Let's hope it works.

  • whenever i listen to this music, i keep thinking of this.

  • the music goes perfect with the scene(s)! i love this part of fantasia!

  • can someone suggest where to go to watch this WHOLE scene? This is one of my favorite parts of this movie.....

  • pause it at 1:36 the blue centaurettes leg is so weird looking. lol. And she is my fav.

  • C'est tout bonnement du génie génial.

La finesse du dessin qui s'accorde parfaitement avec les musique...

    C'est parfait je l'aime ♥

  • i remember when i was little i wanted to be on of those centaur girls, haha...always loved these scenes

  • WHOA piss up.

    cool.

  • the "drunken bastard" is the greek god, Dionysus, and the centaurs are his servants...

  • Adorable! One of my favorite movies of all time....Classic Disney was masterful.

  • "Pastorale" by Beethoven is wonderful..

    I love it

And I Also love Fantasia.. One of my favourite classics of Disney

  • I Completely dont like this scene because it's edited

  • Question; what's edited in the scene? The removal of the little black centaurette? What does everyone have against the removal of her as well?

  • From 1:16 to about 1:31, it zoomed in too hard on that scene. At least my DVD movie did not zoom it in too hard. Sure, the black centaurette from this scene was digitally removed (so annoying that that would happen anyway), but it didn't zoom in hard, like it does here.

  • I don't think it's erotic at all, the female centaurs merely tease the druken guy as they find him funny to watch

  • It´s not erotic at all, it is talking about happiness and pleasures of life, hedonism, etc. It´s based on greek and roman legends.

  • i love this movie. its so wonderful and beautiful

  • it is very strange but..........my opgnion is that movies is a little erotic...isn't it?

  • for some reason, Type O Negative's song "In Praise of Bacchus" comes to mind :-)

  • I liked the part prior to this section with the peaguses, this scene with the centaurs was nice, but shortly before this exact clip, in the movie, when the girls are depressed I knew that they would introduce some boy centaurs to bring happiness upon them, which made it predictable. However, I appreciate it more than the exaggerated scene where Mickey is a sorcerer and brings the knives to life.

  • si sono d'accordo!! XD

  • io amo questo cartone animato!

  • quanto mi piace questo cartone...

  • io lo trovo bellissimo!senza contare che le musiche sono...strepitose
