@europe0wnz lol, nope its under our garage, house is only 10 years old. check out my other projector videos there is a lot better equipment, bought a 7.2 surround sound after video also.
@TDelementFlipmaster if you look at my channel i have another projector video, where i have my newer 1280x800 side by side. in this vid it is 800x600. To play like Call of Duty i think will be better to get a 720p one, but just dvds or bluray movies will be very useable. i didnt look at 800x600 projectors lately, not sure if many/any have HDMI inputs. Look at my other video of the older projector(wii) i go up close and can see each pixel.
like what kind of cables to have, if a certain kind of projector will work, and where to plug them into. i just have a ps3, but i want to try this when a bunch of friends come over. i have a Multi AV cable and an HDMI cable, so i have no idea what settings to have on the ps3 whatever else
@u2todit4me My old Dell projector has a vga component cable which i have a vga-to-component cable which i can connect the component cable accessory for the ps3 to. and has a video "yellow" cable on projector for lower quality picture.
My new projector has an hdmi port on it so i connect my ps3 directly to the projector with the hdmi port and scales to 1080p
when have ps3 connected with the component cable i select component on ps3, when yellow cable, composite and when HDMI choose HDMI
@poolshark152006 if have a projector that has resolution of 800x600 prolly want to choose 720p if 1280x800 and higher, 1080p would be the best. not sure if completely answered your question
@poolshark152006 if this is good quality, im scared of what better looks like. do you have a video on how to set this up? not the audio, just the video from the system to the console.
800x600? I have got the same plans as you but with a 1024x768 Projector for £300. I want a small home movie theater in my bedroom with a Wii and Blu-Ray laptop. I only want it for entertainment with my 8 yrs. younger brother and sister to watch films and play the wii. Is 1024x768 good (I think so). Can you see giant blocky pixels on yours or is it just fine?
@BedfordMarcus well i have upgraded my projector and sound... basicly everything.. lol, but when had my old 800x600, really was not bad at all, the pixels were about 1/8" by 1/8" . movies looked great, games also, COD MW2 was hard to play i thought. Now have an optoma hd66 1280x800 and looks AMAZING, should of got 1080p but for 400 more i skipped on it.
if your asking if you connect your ps3 to a HD tv with the standard yellow, red and white, Yes it does look A LOT better, it is running in 1080i. And now i have a sony 5.1 surround sound, and new furniture and an mame arcade machine..that i built
on my projector i have it suppots y,pb,pr through the vga port up to 1080i. so i was able to buy a vga to component cable for 20 bucks an hook it up to my ps3. you have a converter box if i am correct?
yeah i kinda did, got some carpet, another couch and 5.1 Sony surround sound/5 disk dvd changer now. I really want to make it look cool i guess, just dont know what to do, i am building an MAME arcade that i want to put in the corner to the right of the screen. and also have like 100 feet of rope lighting that dont know what to do with, any ideas?
in the descriptions, and its the Dell 1100mp, 800x600 resolution... not sure if HD ready, but i think that it is, says goes up to like 1400x1200 or something, but that's not native.
ya i guess that it stretches 800x600 which is more like 800x450 cause aspect ratio is 16x9. it really does not look that bad... is pretty clear actually a single pixel is like 1/8" so not 'that' bad. The native Res. is the max pixels the projector can produce, anything higher like 720p or 1080p will be scaled down to 800x450. projector was cheep bought for outside in the summer...
READ DESCRIPTION!!!!! i paid 300 for it and not sure what you are asking about 22" or 20" LCD??? if i am thinking what you want, a 22" is prolly going to be better, check the resolution if its 720p then that is about right for a 20 or 22". Hey man! great video, i wanna know one thing, how do i connect my projector to my speakers??? please reply! thanks! :)

I'm thinking about getting one of the 'HD' projectors off Ebay.
Is it a good choice? I know the native resolution is only 800X600, but is it actually good enough quality?
Is the text in games still readable? Does it look like standard tv quality or HD ready or Full HD?
If I buy this I'm going to use it with an HDMI cable for my PS3. Worth the money?
I would like to buy a cheap, good quality beamer for my PS3 as an extra instead of my tv.

so it stretches 800x600 in a 142 inch screen basically that must lokk crappy, or how does it work????? and what is the native rez refer too???

ya i guess that it stretches 800x600 which is more like 800x450 cause aspect ratio is 16x9. it really does not look that bad... is pretty clear actually a single pixel is like 1/8" so not 'that' bad.
