I'd rather have the GRB version with two single coil lipsticks. Much better looking and sounding design. They should dump the highway road sign humbucker on this one and install a double lipstick humbucker too make it look more realistic to the genre.

He's playing it down an octave from the original studio version. Looks like the Ventures also did that live for more of a harder rock thing (see their live video).
