Turns out that Bowie has been Gervaise's hero since he was a teenager.

Ricky wrote these lyrics for Bowie who agreed to sing them on the show.

It must have been weird for Ricky to have his hero slag him off nationally with a song that Ricky himself wrote - calling himself fat/pug nose etc. But the finished product is pure comedy gold.
