@youcancallmethedude Hey there :) I am Chair of FtM London, which is a peer support group for trans people who were categorized female at birth but identify as other than that. I also work with Trans Media Watch, an organization which campaigns for trans people to be treated with dignity and respect in the UK media. I also regularly give presentations and exhibit at LGBT events to improve inclusivity and understanding. I am a also a published academic who writes about trans issues.

Hi! guy. My life drama is being physicaly raped at 23.It has affected me in that a fear people when they try to get intemit with me. I don`t go out at night. Avoid it as much as possible.It has affected my transition in that though i am MTF and are happy doing it, i fear that once complete i may not live long. People can be cold & cruel sometimes.Feel it will end badly for me.At least the pain of living will be over. Sorry to hear you were bullied. wish you but the best. bye!
@underloved1 I'm sorry to hear that you have fear and hurt in your life. I think anyone who shares your experiences would struggle like this. You are not alone. There are support groups out there for you. I see that you are in Canada, I hope that you can connect with a support group in your nearest city. No matter the fear, we always have hope, my friend. I believe you're a strong person because despite all that has happened, you are fighting to be you.You are in my thoughts, best wishes to youx
"Bullies get bored", is right. There are plenty people on the web who are just bored (and therefore boring) who can't find anything constructive to do, so they comment on the next video they happen to stumble over. Our mistake is to take these comments as real critical information. The best thing that happened between the web and youtube was for channels like TSG to form so like-minded people could connect and share a feeling of connectedness (wait isn't that the definition of community?)

Hey Valentino, this is a brave video. You have done so well to stand firm and stay in the community. There is room for all of us - and frankly people see through bullies after a time, their different 'personas' are unsustainable because people begin to pick up on their lies and inconsistencies. Your video gives a great message of strength and courage xxx

Most people are inherently interested and friendly towards others. However, this investment and trust in the wrong hands makes us vulnerable too. Fortunately the ‘wrong hands’ represent a small minority of society in my humble opinion and their influence will never overpower the majority of people who are honest and caring.
Cyber-bullying is a relatively new concept but bullying has been around as long as people have. You have behaved with dignity and feeling throughout and I applaud you for being brave enough to speak out, at the time, and now in a more reflective way. The Youtube phenomina/community is a little bit like a friendship in that the more we invest in it, the deeper the rewards... usually.
