You are missing the point, no one looks like that, or they would. even that hot chick walking down the street has make up on. its because the media has made them think they are ugly unless they conform to truly impossible standards. they never feel pretty so they search for more make-up, clothing, & accessories in a vain attempt to feel beautiful. also the vast majority of models are very young, some as young as 14, making it even more impossible to conform to the image.

She was beautiful before, all she needed was a little mascara, and retouch wise, just the bags under her eyes and the lines on the corners of her mouth - that was EXTREME retouching. You can tell that that image is severely retouched without this though - as it looks like it's been painted, rather than it being a photograph.
