  • @Netlocd I cant believe they included this in the video O.O It was freaking funny, though. xD

  • It would be so awesome if U2 did a tour and just played these early songs!

  • @boggy32 that would be a concert I would pay anything to see ! Don't like much of their newer stuff.

  • Such an Beautiful song!!!!!

  • 33 peephole(s) are sadly mistaken. *D

  • I dedicate this song to my Mother! Thank you!

  • @chefsart LOL., Luis Herrero always dedicates his show's first song to Mr Edward Sweet Towers. He's a real big shot now in spanish politics. Always kept his feet on the ground though. A real legal dude.

  • I will follow u2 !

  • Surrender to the awesomeness of U2! =oD (inre to one of their other great songs...LOL)

  • U2 FOREVER!!!!!! TE AMO!!! =oD

  • God save U2 !!!!!!

  • WHY "RIP Bono"?

  • Amo Amo Amo Amooooooo U2

  • at the beginning, Bono is happy as a little baby !!!

  • BONO'S NOT DEAD!

  • @mirorbalmacfisto he died after the rattle and hum era

  • RIP Bono!

  • @dumbacrew Ma sei coglione?

  • @dumbacrew U2 should break up

  • RIP bono

  • Clayton isasuch baby there...lol

  • @3llerTUBE clayton is the coolest in the band

  • I WAS HERE!!!!!

  • @Linear500 i bet theres a lot of stuff about U2 people dont know, but since everybody kisses their ass, and wants a piece of anything they can get from them, especially money, any negative thing even if its true about U2 will be shot down, U2 kinda disgust me now, they were my favorite band since 1983, its sad theyve turned into what they are, seems like the shit went to their head and theyre just not the same people-they're assholes, except maybe not larry and adam, i hope.....

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole U2 is like walmart, they're so big and cheap, they dont care who you are, you're generic to them, they dont need your business or your money, they're like a country, they're almost untouchable, ALMOST, but not quite, they are not God, even if they or their fans worship them as such and think they are, and they do, their fans are assholes, hard core hard metal hard rock fans are more nice than U2 fans are,ive been to a U2 concert it was a fucking disaster

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole U2 used to be a cool band no one heard of, that only cool people listened to, then, all the fakes and wannabes came in like jocks, preps, rich kids, snobs, and the like, which, i have no problem with any of these people if they're cool, but usually most of them are not, they're assholes just like their parents, opinionated, but wont do shit, think they can buy the world, so they came in and fucked everything up, and the whole using band's music in tv commercials

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole

' ive been to a U2 concert it was a fucking disaster'

yes i can understand because they sooooooo fucking good! ;D

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole

' not the same people-they're assholes'

And you?? you are still the same person like 1983???????

stop name U2 assholes, this not nice of you.

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole I agree mate, i really do, Edge and Bono are the only ones in the band that get noticed. Larry and Adam are in the background as far as I see it, but i guess all the fans who love them unconditionally wont see or give a shit.

  • Great live performance of this track.

  • I love U2, do you, too? *D

  • @DonnaSunAgain funny, clever, i used to, but, sadly, No.

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole Is it ok w/u if i continue being one of their MILLIONS of fans? Just thought I'd run it by YOU 1st, because your opinion(s) matter(s) that much to me!!!

  • @DonnaSunAgain numbers mean nothing, how stupid to think so, it's quality, not quantity, and since MY opinions matter that much to YOU, NO, it's not ok if you continue being one of their fans, donna i command you to suck my cock and balls, lick my nipples, and take my cock up your butthole, those, you may have my permission to do, and sit on my face while you're at it............pronto!

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole No thanks...gonna pass... maybe next time... HORRIBLE! *D

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole I am soo turned on right now that I'm gonna dump my husband, abandon my child and whole family and home and run right over to fulfill your request, just as soon as I find my magnifying glass...

  • @DonnaSunAgain weak

  • 0:06 Hey i know this song!

  • What a guitar, the Explorer carving it up !

  • LOVe those shimmering curtains of sound........

  • @maskman1980 yeh thats when it was still raw, pure, untainted from commercialism and bullshit, you could hear and feel the celtic influence to their rock - so cool, they're rock, not like kiss hard loud rock, but emotional powerful, with lyrics wove into the sound of their music-unlike anything anyone had ever heard - we are U2! we are not an english band, we are from ireland! U2 DEFINATELY put the country of ireland on the map so they're practically synonymous with the name ireland

  • Goosebumps

  • and Bono moves and dance so special , like no one else in the hole world!!! and he still do!! :)))

  • @MLDJHF bono took dance lessons from irish river dancers - the marionettes - like the puppets marionettes lol -bono is a dillhole, man, id sure like to anally plow those white skinned celtic women, see how they sing with my thick cock jammed up in their irish arseholes

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole

i think you an asshole heh heh ;D so what?? if bono took dance lessons?

Bono can dance so sexy, what a HUNK he was!!! and Bono still is, and his voice is like from heaven!! I love Bono :))

  • My favorite band ever from the beginning, and yes U2 best band ever , this TIMELESS music, and still is!!!

And Bono very very veryyyyyyy handsome!!! what a charisma Bono haves, and still have!! wouw!! :))) i love U2 !!

  • @MLDJHF i agree with you about timeless, one thing that pissed me off, i was at a strip bar for first time ever, and they played sunday bloody sunday in a fucking strip club, what assholes, thats like playing christian music in a strip club, i mean it is a powerful rock song, but what its talking about, sigh,...i think bono used his face everywhere to advance what he wanted, looks dont matter, its what's-who's in your heart, hopefully Jesus,-the rest will follow

  • That was an amazing concert...possibly one of the best live performances ever by any band??? (Well maybe Im biased!)...but honestly...The Edge was playing the guitar like a mean gunslinger....firing the riffs off one after another...what a truly great song...band....performance

  • @khorrumg i totally agree, it was is legendary, the real U2,....totally unlike what they've become today

  • I was there. It was amazing.

  • @catjoyyoung really? wow, awesome, i envy you (smile), im sure there were people there that didnt see the cameras filming and didnt know, and halfway during the concert said 'this is so cool i wish it was captured on video', the place was so cool, the crowd totally into it, the band rolling on all cylinders - it was ideal, no wonder they made an album from it and a video, it was so great to not hear bono be an asshole and give any political speeches - he was still green!

  • @bonoIsAnAsshole I was at the front for a while pushed up against a railing that was meant to keep the crowd back. I managed to get myself over (not to rush the stage but because it hurt like hell) and a bouncer scooped me up and carried me off. It was during "Walk Away" and I was kicking and yelling. He set me down in a place where I was no longer crushed and could see just fine. I lost a shoe. I later discovered horizontal bruises on my legs from the railing. It was worth it :)

  • This is the song that I first heard from U2 over 30 years ago.

One of the best concerts ever!

  • @olpfan2008 have you ever seen them live?

  • Comment removed

  • U2 is the greatest band in the world period!!!!!!!

  • @14rocker14 if the U2 of this era saw what they've become today, the U2 of 1983 would vomit and puke, it's everything they said they'd never become, bono wearing those stupid glasses all the fuckin time, the edge is an asshole too, now i only like larry and adam, this is the real U2, i think the real U2 died after rattle and hum........they forced themselves to be something they're not, that whole pop thing was a big fucking joke, they lost money on it, im glad

  • @14rocker14 NO, U2 is NOT the greatest band in the world.

  • @kentgb65 YES, U2 IS the greatest band in the world.

  • @14rocker14 Ya got that right!!!

Love the OLD U2 when they were Punk Rock!

  • u2 sucks now

  • @olpfan2008 u r an idiot!!

  • @musiclover2161 i love all their pre-millenium stuff. they just lack the lustre and passion they had

  • When i started to listen their firsts songs I totally fall in love of u2

  • I FIRST HEARD THIS CASSETTE WHEN I WAS 19 . NOW I'M 47 AND STILL LOVE IT . U2's BEST WORK I THINK IS THEIR WAR ALBUM / CD . IT GIVES YOU THE FEEL OF THE 80'S AND THE IRA CONFLICT IN NORTHEN IRELAND AT THAT TIME . JUST WHAT I THINK FROM A RETIRE STREET COP . GOD BLESS THE IRISH UND GOTT MIT UNS .

  • I have this DVD and the CD

  • 3:32

  • From 1980 till Now. WOW!!

    Making More Magnificent Music.

    Storming Sensational Super Sizzling Song.

  • I love the drumming on this song.....and the primal raw energy of Edge's guitar.....this is one of my favorite songs by U2, because it shows their true essence. -I died laughing that that fan jumped up and was dancing like a moron until security pulled her off of Bono! ;p

  • @annamarieintex Agreed!!! Ain't it funny how the girl in this song who jumps on to the stage is obviously too ugly so old Bono thinks...' no dear you ain't fit enough to have a dance with me....off the stage you go....' unlike the girl in the previous song 11 o'clock Tick Tock....hilarious!!!!

  • I was so into U2 during this time period and they were not very popular in America yet so I actually went to a custom T-shirt shop and had my own U2 shirts made from their album covers. People at college would look at my shirt and go "what do you mean by 'you too, boy?'"

  • 1:17 Harry Potter?

  • boycot youtube videos that start with ads

  • 80s Blast- BEAUTIFUL.

    LOOKING GOOD.

YOUNG, VIBRANT AND ON THE UP, UP!

  • lmao that woman

  • Ladies and Gentlemen...I WILL FOLLOW!!

    So epic..(i got a chill)

  • 2:55 - Adam, nice moves!

  • An analysis by a scholar came to the conclusion that there is a rural, humble Jesus in the New Testament and an arrogant imperial Jesus. The Jesus that appeals is the humble Jesus ( the love your neighbor as yourself ), the one that repels is the imperial one that other christians demand you worship ( as a king ).

U2 represents the humble Jesus, they are not preachy and holier-than-thou. Churches tends to represent the Imperial Jesus. this is why U2 is more popular.

  • 0:27 Fuck bono , Kiss you little girl .

  • U2 is awesome - but... no one beats AC/DC

  • U2, The greatest band of all time. And always will be.

  • I was there !!!

And saw the Divinyls and the Alarm the following night!

  • 0:24 haha, the woman. She's awesome.

  • is that my mom? jk

  • 0:25 EPIC !

  • Groups like U2 had a huge impact on me!. I'm some of the fans who had a chance to witness real videos on MTV and other video channels. My only regret I have not had a chance to see them live. I hope YouTube will please keep our group and fan videos up!! Due to the networks "not" showing videos we fans have to flock to sites like YouTube. I say thank you for now because I can see some videos here♥

  • @U2 rules me forever. I will follow @U2 till death.

  • where are red rocks?

  • @dubhina Colorado.

  • THIS WAS WHEN U2 WAS COOL . NOT THE UTTER SHIT THEY HAVE JUST PLAYED AT GLASTONEBURY

  • @ljwjfac110369 go listen to something else then dip shit

  • @ljwjfac110369 Exactly what me and my Dad thought. xD

  • @ljwjfac110369 u kidding? I just saw them in Oakland show n they r d greatest act ever, best band in d world, then Coldplay n Killers or Linkin Park

  • The audience member at 1:17 was my high school classmate! Matt, you lucky dog- you saw what was one of the best concerts of all time. I almost went, but didn't because it was going to rain. Ever since then, I kick myself every time I think about this show, and I never, ever pass up a chance to see a Red Rocks show, no matter what the weather report says.

  • @bornflippy1 thanks for your story. I saw them in 1982 and 1983 in the UK. Amazing weren't they. :-)

  • This video is 17 years before I was born but I still think that U2 were better then...

  • Is U2 a Christian band? If so, awesome!

  • @JamesCalex Nope. But they rule!

  • @JamesCalex Not overtly but many of their songs have christian undertones and are very spiritual

  • @JamesCalex

    No

  • Saw em in Denver in May.. Will see em in Anahiem CA June!!!! Whooohooo!!!!

  • A melhor desde sempre!

  • When i was 10 i got into U2 and i was obsessed with them. But all my friends hated them and it was embarrassing to like them in a way. I hated all other music. But now im 22 and u2 are still going where as all the others have disappeared. Im proud to call myself a fan.

  • @monsterinyourpocket Same here. They were pretty much the frst band I ever herd I think, due to older brother and sister playing/watching them. I liked them the most, and other "rock" stuff through early years of primary school which was totally a different world to what others liked hah. I still feel that way now though in some ways in my tastes.

  • I like how in these older versions of this he builds up and shouts the last I WILL.........FOLLLLLOOOOOOW! hah.

  • @monsterinyourpocket same bro

  • @monsterinyourpocket same with me... i was around 8 or 9.. now i am 20 and through the years, U2 has stayed with me. I will always go back to them toremember my childhood, the good, the bad, the perfect. U2 has been there through it all. I could never leave them, because they've never left me :)

  • @monsterinyourpocket because you have a good sense of what is good, perhaps you actually listen to the lyrics, not just the sounds, kudos little monster.

  • que ganas de haberlos conocido en esta epoca,,,estaban super hots..adam,,wow,y bono,,mmm muy bieeennnnnnnnnnn.

  • im gonna see them live this july.cant wait

  • Bull shit band murders, perpetuated Mafia WAR 2X. KILL the album war. +JVA+

  • GOING TO SEE THESE GUYS IN JUNE!

  • T________T Stupid traffic accident stopped me going.

  • Great performance somewhat ruined by poor YouTube quality. YouTube what is with the crackling audio?? All the ads bringing money should help fix that!!

  • guapisimo de bono,,,estan todos bien guapo,,,cute cute !!

  • U2, groupe de légende, groupe mythique !

  • Youtube is really exaggerating with all the ads on here.

  • ONGELOOFLIJK !!!

  • that woman on stage at beginning is a beast! no wonder she managed to get on stage!

  • @achtungbaby28 she is probably 60 now

  • @patq08889 yeah doubt she'll be getting on stage at a U2 360 concert!

  • Bono at 0:06 - uuuh, i know this song!

  • @ToonComedy

omg you made my day hahahahahaah

  • @ToonComedy Hahaha. So true. lol

  • 1% of your fans are crazy and will find a way onto the stage!!

  • Rockin the House....good old stuff

  • This is awesome. The only thing is that in this video, I guess to save energy The Edge

plays that lead riff downstroke/upstroke whereas on the record you can clearly hear its all downstrokes-that's where the "attack" comes from. Its tiring and most guitarists just aren't that percussive, but the sound is worth it. Same goes for the bass. The people commenting about the amazing energy that night are dead-on. shows like that are the reason you learn guitar

  • O.O XD

  • Eu ouvi esta música pela primeira vez em 1982, numa festa na casa de um amigo de escola, tinha na época 16 anos, desde então o U2 faz parte da minha vida.

  • I did not have a ticket but went to red Rocks that day anyway in hopes of finding an "Extra" for sale..It was pouring rain most of the day and very over cast..I found a ticket easily as there were many people bailing on the show because it was raining so hard. This concert was, is, and always will be the most amazing concert I have ever witnessed. A fact few people know is that they played the next day for free for the people that thought the show was cancelled at Mackey Auditorium in Boulder, CO

  • @bornflippy1 I was not there, but have watched it a million times! It has to be one of the all time greats! What an amazing performance....And dare I say, the audience that remained!!!! FUCKING WOW, What energy!

  • @jimmymac63 The amazing video footage really does capture the whole "Vibe" of that historic night. You really can get goosebumps from these videos ..but actually being there was a happy accident that turned out to be one of the seminal music experiences of my then young life. Another fact that most people don't know is the pyres that are lit up on the stage risers have only been used a few times and most of those for private events..U2 is the only band that had those pyres burning for a show.

  • @bornflippy1 Great story! must have been truely incredible to be there. They were so powerful & raw then. Thanks for sharing.

  • @bornflippy1

    gee it's a comment not a blog...

  • @NadavAlgrably Gee it's a Troll and not a comment!

  • @NadavAlgrably

    SO witty.

    -_-

  • @bornflippy1 did you pay for the ticket?

  • @ToolsnFire Yes I paid the guy 15 bucks for it.. worth every penny and then some.

  • @bornflippy1 I just watched this concert ( the re-released DVD), it was amazing, now I believe it's not about the stage or the lights or how many people were there. U2 always rock the house.

  • @Mrsjack43 Yes I just saw them for the 14th time in May at Mile High Stadium..and they rocked the house again as usual...There will never be another band that brings it live like U2.

  • @bornflippy1

lucky you..I've never seen U2 live and I want to see them more than anything in the world, I hope I can finish college and get a medical residency in the USA before the next tour start. :(

  • @Mrsjack43 well Mrsjack you are off to a good start with your young life by having great taste in music..I wish you all the best with school and I hope you get to see U2 live someday.

  • @bornflippy1 thankx :)
