HEY YOU FREAKING TWAT, ever heard of the Boston Celtics? Yeah, swept MJ TWICE, or the Detriot Pistons? Yeah beat MJ out 3 years in a row. Who gives a fuck about Kobe being "swept." Its called team work and Dallas was the better team. You freaking idiot.
That's one of the number of plays that made the NBA so exciting and memorable for me personally because you could actually play defense and each little superficial touch wasn't called unlike today's game.
MEMORIES!!!!! MY ORIGINAL FAVORITE NETS TEAM !!! Sam Cassel, Kerry Kittles, Kendall Gill, Kieth Van horn, Jayson Williams!!!!!! SICK STARTING 5!!! And even Sherman Douglas and Lucious Harris off the bench!! I loved em all!! (THEN A GUY NAMED JKIDD CAME TO TOWN!! AND THE NETS BECAME THE ELITE!!!!!!!)
@NoKittyKitty piece of shit a bad shooting game like for jordan is kobe's career average. people expect kobe to shoot bricks because he fuckin sucks...ps kobe = swept
I remember watching this on TNT live at the house with a bunch of my friends and we literally called Gill's posterization before it happened. Nobody was surprised that Jordan performed that way in the clutch-- we were already used to seeing it a million times-- but this time was more impressive because he was coming back from retirement and proving that his game, his fame and his name are TIMELESS and FOREVER.
Almost identical to Joakim Noah's steal, dunk and foul over Paul Pierce in game six of the first round epic between the Bulls and Celtics in 2008. Very similar time left in game and both in overtime.
ahh, back when you were allowed to be physical... They need to bring back the mother fucking hand check, let guys like LEbron cry then... MJ played in the golden time of basketball. To me nothing touches the 80'/90's - - although I think the league is very good now.
@Kerkopes Actually i dont think he did. it kinda looks like it but like when he pushed off against russel, it looks a little worse than what it really was. Jordan was going straight for the ball i think it was more his momentum that made him almost fall. theres a ref standing right at the scorers table with a clear view i think it was the correct no call
I respect Kendall Gill for jumping. Thats the problem these days, everybody worried about gettin crossed and dunked instead of just playing defense. When you play basketball, you understand that you win some and you lose some.
does anyone know if anyone has uploaded this game? Da Bulls being the Bulls, but the New Jersey Nets were a good team in this season and gave the Bulls a good wake up call to start
How many players you know at 35 can get up like that let alone have 37 points? Very few. Even when he was 40 he still was good,I'll go as far as to say if the wizards were actaully good, they could've done some things in the playoffs.
@jeditwinz Yea. That's pretty much the tale of the tape. People don't realize how hard it is to dominate pro sports in your mid 30s. This is otherwordly stuff.

This play wasn't possible without Jordan's defensive abilities... the guy could flat out play all around basketball
phantastikorean 1 month ago 3
This play displays much of Jordan's greatness.
His defense, dunking, performance in the clutch. I think everyone agrees with Jerry's statement.

When I see this Jordan at this age will clear Kobe in every way idk about shooting tho
Dancestudent08 1 month ago
He got the steal cleanly but pushing Kittles away with his left arm extended should have been a foul on Jordan but they would never call that in OT.
vaibanez17 1 month ago
@vaibanez17 I don't think that would be called a foul even in a college game.
VinmanMJ23 1 month ago
@vaibanez17 he didnt push kittles push away they just had a little arm contact which isnt a foul when going 4 a loose ball

That video is like a snapshot of MJ's entire career. Tenacious defender, spectacular on offense with the intensity of and skill of Superman.

@VinmanMJ23 also... clutch. This was a steal at the end of overtime. Also a great finisher on a drive, and a closer/leader.

that play defined his whole career, a great defensive player and an offensive genius!

Jordan fouled Kendall on the steal. Watch Jordan's left arm--it's in Kendall's chest causing him to fall. The ref's view is blocked by Pippen.
