  • Grindcore Pride..

  • Grindcore Pride..

  • PD have become "blander"? get that shit talk out of here

  • Best line ever:

Your legs look so sexy out of context.

  • totally agree.

  • awesome intro

  • yeah definitely no effects. that's all JR

  • Effect on his vox? thats all him bro his voice box is a machine!

  • Check out the video of JR screaming OVER all the music after his microphone breaks and tell me that's effect. Some others might agree, but DEP is not dead. Both PD and DEP get more interesting.

  • Friend... I`ve been listening to PD for a long time, and I've got a bunch of filmed concerts on DVD (among else the one you talk about - yeah, JR Hayes is a crazy bastard and an incredibly talented vocalist), so I'm quite sure I know what I'm talking about. Even assuming he's not using an effect in this instance (which he is), he sounds extremely shitty in comparison to earlier stuff.

I'm not even gonna start talking about the joke that is DEP now. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

  • Well, tell me who's worthy of your praise? Even if you had all the money in the world it really wouldn't mean anything. If you can't handle evolution, there's always the grave.

  • I simply do not agree that evolution is equal to improvement; PD and DEP just became more bland. Scott Hull plays one boring old school riff after another (granted, there are still some gems in there), and DEP uses painfully trite pop-rock song structures now. Throwing some power electronics into the mix won't get you a creativity award nowadays.

As for the rest, I have no idea what money has to do with all this. I certainly don't have much of it...

  • I was using money as a metaphor, comparing it to your PD stuff. Anyways, I can see what you mean. But, the way I look at it... who's even worth listening to? I see PD and DEP as still worth listening to. I'm up for suggestions, I think other people are too.

  • Oh alright. Well, If you're into blastgrind, do a youtube search for "the kill batman community hall". That shit is godlike. Get their album Soundtrack to Your Violence if you liked what you heard. I rather enjoyed Gridlink's album as well. The delivery on Insect Warfare's World Extermination was quite good, I think (at least their drummer is pretty awesome). I'm not much into "mathcore" or whatever the fuck you wanna call it, but Crowpath's Red on Chrome is the shit.

    Lemme know what you think..

  • I agree that "evolution" in musical style does not mean improvement.

But I 100% disagree that PD have become "blander". I think they're still as ferocious as they've always been. I think the 'weakest' album (and I wouldn't even describe it as weak, it's a good album) was Terrifyer.

Prowler In The Yard will always be my favourite from these guys, but I think they've been consistent with they're intensity.

DEP... yeah, they've softened a bit, I still like them though.

  • que mamada es esa pinche pendejada muy slayer y luego pura pendejada cuando se ha visto a un gordo metalero heeeeeeeeeee pinche chingadera
