@Milestis well for me it was about both. Tell me you weren't scared in the VN version of Watanagashi-hen during some scenes. Especially the phone call. The insane laughter (text-only but it didn't matter) the random crazy eyes and then THAT SILENCE. Silence that feels louder than any sound.
@TheDEATH676 Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. The music is from the Visual Novel, not the anime though. Higurashi is a psycological horror anime. Once you start watching it, you will either lose sleep because of the horror and gore, or because you desperately want to know what's happening next. It is also well known for being happy one moment then deadly serious the next.
Man, this song is great. Also, this actually IS in the MangaGamer version.

I agree, This song was used very well in Minagoroshi. It sets the tone for the Yamianu's attack very well!
