@augustburnt I'm x marine recon so lets cut the shit short, I have both the 15-22 and a DPMS panther 5.56. My girlfriend shot my AR like crap UNTIL she became comfortable with the 15-22. So to say the .22 wont help is just plain wrong. That's like saying practice doesn't make you a better shot. I'll bet everything I own she can outshoot YOU with one now. It's not an opinion. It's a guarantee. Why be ignorant? Oh yeah, cause you're on youtube lol.
This gun beats the hell out of my buddy's Mossberg 702. If I would've got a tactical .22 over a 10/22, it'd be this one. For a cheaper alternative, you could buy a Ruger 10/22 and the Archangel 556 stock. Has an M4 look to it since the barrel sticks out a bit. However, S&W did a good job on this gun.
lol ok i know your going for tactical and stuff, but i shoot this gun a lot, cause i own one. why would you need a suppressor for a gun that sounds like a 12 year olds bb gun?
I will agree with what I assume JimzOnDroid said, getting a 22 really serves no purpose, yea you save on ammo, but you can't honestly tell yourself that it would help you shoot a 556 better
I was thinking of either getting this or the ruger 10/22 and put an archangel stock on it. Can someone tell me a little info about either of them? Thanks
@toddy6363 cheap ammunition. shooting is tons of fun but it sucks when you have to limit yourself because of the cost of ammunition. this way you have all the fun of customizing you gun etc and your wallet doesent take a huge hit when you go to the range for a day
i dont want to intrude or upset you. I know asking questions about peoples money is rude but, i was wondering how much you paid for this rifle, after tax, accessories, registration fees, the whole nine yards. i have been saving up for a long time and i have 830$ budget and i dont know if i will make it or not, please reply. thank you
@ifuhearmyshotimissed I bought one at a local gunshow a week ago, A1 style comp version. long story short, but the guy's head wasn't on straight that day for whatever reason and sold it to me for $350 with $500 being the original price on the tag.
i just found this gun today at a local gun shop... thinkin about pickin it up within the next month.. just doing my homework first.. seems like everyone is giving it good reviews..
Someone please tell me how much an AR in .22 platform is. i want the rifle it self not a conversion kit. I wanna use one for coyote hunting in WV. The .22 may seam small compared to the typical .223 but it will make a coyote fold up at 200 yrds.
It's a nice scaled down version of the AR-15. Unlike many conversion kits, this gun is actually fully operational. If it's on the rifle it's functional. The magazines are easy to load especially with the assist and it's an accurate rifle out of the box. I use a US Optics SN-4 w/ circle dot reticle for very quick target aquisition. A great rifle for target/recreation and even with Mag Pull sights, stock, and grip, will come in under $600. Light weight, easy break-down.
@JimzOnDroid With the pici mounts you can easily swap everything over from your full sized rifle. There is nothing wrong training with a .22 lr AR the same way your carry gun is set up. But I suppose people like you who only play COD or airsoft wouldn't understand that.

@JimzOnDroid Actually I see the logic behind dressing the rifle up. With the cost of ammunition today, why not dress up the gun you would shoot sever hundred, or thousand times more than your other guns?
@JimzOnDroid Actually if you think real hard about it you can see the logic for "dressing" the gun up. With the cost of ammunition today, why wouldn't you dress up the gun you will be shooting several hundred, or thousand times more than your others?
that gun cost around $500, it shoots 22, so you can get alot of bang for your buck, and the 22 has killed more people than any other round in the world, with the new bullets pretty much made for this gun 30mg bullets or 40 this is a must have fun shooter, so you my friend are a moron.,

@GunWebsites Hey, I have a quick question for you..in your opinion Is the MOE version worth 70 dollars more than the A1 comp...i actually like the comp better than the MOE in some ways, but in others the MOE just looks plain cool..I really want to put a sling on mine ...thank you! I'm really liking the vids keep it up!
it's a personal preference, so I hate to suggest what is 'better'
Besides almost everyone I know (including myself) tastes change all the time too, so if you got the MOE today, in 6 months you might like something else much better
@Spillah21 yes it is worth it. If you were to get the regular 15-22 version and get the MOE parts separately the stock would run you about $50 minimum, flip up sights $85 minimum, and pistol grip will run your $20 minimum. So yes the MOE version is def worth the $70 more.
@Spillah21 much fun for cheap. I bought the A1 style comp version for $350 new at a gun show. I was looking at getting the MOE version, but with knowing that I would ditch the sights, knowing that i'd scope it out, overlooking the grip difference and butt stock design, and liking the barrel tip of the A1 model more, I thought the A1 model was a better buy
I love mine! I have the MOE version and i installed a hogue pistol grip, knights armament vertical grip, a surefire flashlight, a UTG carrying handle rear sight and sum mag pulls on the magazines!
@gammathetasbear the S&W is definately cheaper made. I bought the S&W when it first came out, so i over paid, and it was a hunk of plastic crap. My Sig 522 is an excellent weapon, and so is my Colt. The do not even rank in the same catagory. The new h&k416 is pretty amazing too. Dont buy it cause its cheaper, cause thats exactly what you'll end up with, a cheap pile of junk.
It really is kind of toy-ish. I have one and I must admit --- it really is much more akin to a Airsoft polymer rifle than a true AR rifle. I guess I am much more used to the real deal in my service days. Just cannot get past all of the plastic & silly orange follower, but it is fun & cheap to plink. Worth the $353.00 I spent + FFL, but not much more than that.
Don't know why so many people "trick em out" --- if you want an assault rifle, buy a metal 5.56mm, this is just a poor man's M16. :)
Which LaRue mount is that. I am looking to get the aimpoint and want to be able to co-witness the mbus sights with the aimpoint and want to make sure i get the right mount so I am able to do that.
Hey man, did u install the magpul stock yourself or did the gun come with it on. I want to get that stock but i was wondering if i needed to purchase anything else with it of if the stock will fit right out the box. If anyone knos please fill me in. Nice gun by the way
@GunWebsites No Disrespect bro, that gun is a badass plinker, and if you are going fully equip a AR15 platform all the stuff you have on your gun is the Creme de la Creme. the best part about buying that stuff is you could theoretically switch it from your everyday plinker to a full on tactical 5.56
@boravw1 Its designed for a 22 you would have to cut and change more thanjust the top receiver to make it shoot a 5.56 round. It would be more work than most are really even willing to attempt. Awesome gun in its own right and love the Magpul stuff.
@wooooode I mean't you have a AR15 with those options and a 15-22 you can interchange most of the accouterments of your AR-15 to the 15-22, of course why spend 500 to get a S&W15-22 when you can get a AR15 to .22lr conversion for less money?
looks like you stripped your AR15 of all the sweet acessories, i think its funny that people put on aimpoints and surefires and larue mounts... the accessory total is $1200, while the rifle costs $450. you my friend are 1 crazy dude
@boravw1 If thats the equipment you use on your battle/hunting rifle why not put it on the .22 so you can train with it at a fraction of the ammo cost?
@scuds03 oh no doubt about that..... just silly to ONLY own a 15-22 and have all that sweet stuff for it, but i would agree if you got it then (hey why not...) but some people have more money than brains so I digress. i dont think too many people hunt with Aimpoints (except maybe some CQB human hunting haha)
@GunWebsites well depends on the way you hold it i guess, but it looked like you held the fore grip with your left hand so you could just control the light better if you put it on the other side.
nice gun i have the same thing with a nikon scope and a gripod on mine. i dont know why you had it loaded and you were like looking down the barrel though. use CCI minimags for this weapon
wow, if thats a real surefire( not sure what model) is almost as much as the gun. as far as the guy said about having a flash hider, not on that barrel. nothing will fit that. Why do you need a heavy barrel for a 22? pointless, looks i guess? btw you will have better access turning the light on/off if its on the side/bottom.
can any1 help me.. i wanna get a flash hider on my 15-22 i was wondering is getting the barrel treaded the only way. or does some1 make a pin on after market? and if treading the end is the best way them who is a good person to send it to. i havent had much luck looking online.
If you haven't purchased one yet S&W just came out with a 15-22 with standard A2 flash hider on it. And it is removable (threaded, ready to go). I was just looking at them today at the gun show.
not a fan of foregrips but that looks nice, i love my 15/22 no jams or any other issues yet and i have gone though about 2000 rnds and i have only had it about 2 months.
It looked from your video it was a struggle to activate the light . Im not trying to nitpick at all just trying to help. If you set your light up the other way around as a "drop down" instead of the way you have it you can easily access the button with your thumb. In a situation where you need to activate or deactivate the light seconds might be crucial. Last thing I have an AR-15 overall balance & shooting position the vertical grip is usually further back on the fore grip.
I'm a' thinking on buying one but I'm scared given all the bad rap about 'jam-o-matic' and the tendency for rounds to explode in the chamber. Any opinions?
@Bxcowboy The jam problam is a easy fix. You just need to bend the ejector pin in just a bit and it is fixed. As for the exploding rounds I have not had any explode on me yet so don't know what to tell you about that.
I just bought this weapon about a week ago. I was using winchester 555 hollow points. Did you have any problems with the first round not feeding properly when you charged the weapon? Overall it was worth the money I would say, I think I will try a proper amount of lube next time I fire it. the money you save on ammo you will pay of the rifle if you were to by a 5.56 ar15!
I have a question, I bought a Hogue pistol grip for my M&P 15-22 but the stock grip that is currently on the rifle has some kind of funky round screw up inside attaching it to the rifle...My question: What type of tool would I need to get the screw out so I can install the Hogue grip? The center of the round screw doesn't look like an allen screw. Thanks. By the way, nice upgrades!
its not a movie. he means a video game... but good rifle! i haven't seen the xm8 in your videos yet.. could you try that out? i simply love the recoil and feeling of that gun! :D
thats why i like my 10/22 every type of ammo ive fed it so far it has almost performed flawlessly exept a coulpe fail to fires but probley because of the ammo and its outfitted with a tapco intrafusion stock/tapco sling/tapco vertical grip/BSA RD-30 red dot sight
pretty nice. s/w .22lr. but pretty pricey too. just a gloryfied version of the ruger 10/22 i'll bet they are comparable in accuracy and reliablility. but not even close. in price range. huh???? when it comes to .22lr the most accurate one i had was a cheap ass marlin. the most sold .22 in history. but its all in your taste, right? if you got the dough then go bro.

@HFD09B Because for training and plinking .22 ammo is much much cheaer than .223

GunWebsites 1 year ago
mine has a mildot scope.. thats all i could seem to like for it.. nice set up, but it makes it more of a m-16 look without the light
hellow533 1 year ago
you should have the light on the other side
colton12344321 1 year ago
@colton12344321
really?
GunWebsites 1 year ago
@GunWebsites well depends on the way you hold it i guess, but it looked like you held the fore grip with your left hand so you could just control the light better if you put it on the other side.
colton12344321 1 year ago
its not a great idea to have live ammo in there but nice red dot
ClanHalo001 1 year ago
I like this gun exept the magazine looks dumb.
XicuXaknife 1 year ago
@XicuXaknife It's a .22LR rifle. What did you expect?
goldeneye007662 1 year ago
where could you find a flash hider for that
McChikenWangz 1 year ago
nice gun i have the same thing with a nikon scope and a gripod on mine. i dont know why you had it loaded and you were like looking down the barrel though. use CCI minimags for this weapon
TeamHeartBusters 1 year ago
is that a real magpul CTR stock? or did you use an airsoft? milspec i presume? where did you get your accessories
drewbaby20 1 year ago
@drewbaby20
I'm sure he got all that stuff at a gun shop here in town, yes a real Magpul stock
GunWebsites 1 year ago
wow, if thats a real surefire( not sure what model) is almost as much as the gun. as far as the guy said about having a flash hider, not on that barrel. nothing will fit that. Why do you need a heavy barrel for a 22? pointless, looks i guess? btw you will have better access turning the light on/off if its on the side/bottom.
911mykidsdead 1 year ago
where did you get that front grip?
WildChildz09 1 year ago
really nice gun! i might be getting one here pretty soon, that will add as a nice gun to my collection.
THEPWNMASTER1 1 year ago
How did you replace the stock, or how did you take it off i mean
TacticalArms94 1 year ago
@TacticalArms94
The receiver extension (buffer tube) is attached, but the stock just pulls right off
GunWebsites 1 year ago
how much does it cost by itz self
bcaver97 1 year ago
im getting that on my 18th bday
EdHardyKid15 1 year ago
All the accessories cost more than the rifle. LOL
God1stcountry2nd 1 year ago
Can you put a sling attachment on that?

GunWebsites 1 year ago
can any1 help me.. i wanna get a flash hider on my 15-22 i was wondering is getting the barrel treaded the only way. or does some1 make a pin on after market? and if treading the end is the best way them who is a good person to send it to. i havent had much luck looking online.
gunnuts82 1 year ago
If you haven't purchased one yet S&W just came out with a 15-22 with standard A2 flash hider on it. And it is removable (threaded, ready to go). I was just looking at them today at the gun show.

not a fan of foregrips but that looks nice, i love my 15/22 no jams or any other issues yet and i have gone though about 2000 rnds and i have only had it about 2 months.
hawaiianice99 2 years ago
Flip your light around so you can access it from the vertical fore grip with your thumb.
missionxo 2 years ago
that isn't how they use the fore grip
GunWebsites 2 years ago
It looked from your video it was a struggle to activate the light . Im not trying to nitpick at all just trying to help. If you set your light up the other way around as a "drop down" instead of the way you have it you can easily access the button with your thumb. In a situation where you need to activate or deactivate the light seconds might be crucial. Last thing I have an AR-15 overall balance & shooting position the vertical grip is usually further back on the fore grip.
missionxo 2 years ago
@missionxo or just move it to the other side.

Nice video, but I'm Gona be honest with u, that's a really ugly setup
ClanHalo001 2 years ago
why?
GunWebsites 2 years ago
@GunWebsites I'm gonna bet that it doesn't look "tacti-cool" enough for him because your Aimpoint isn't black.
Rifle looks great and is a great training asset considering that 5.56 practice ammo is around $0.50 for the forseeable future.
pacodlux 2 years ago 2
nice scope on that
ClanHalo001 1 year ago
I'm a' thinking on buying one but I'm scared given all the bad rap about 'jam-o-matic' and the tendency for rounds to explode in the chamber. Any opinions?
Bxcowboy 2 years ago
not familiar with that reputation..
GunWebsites 2 years ago
@Bxcowboy The jam problam is a easy fix. You just need to bend the ejector pin in just a bit and it is fixed. As for the exploding rounds I have not had any explode on me yet so don't know what to tell you about that.

Is the barrel really that thick? Or is it a shroud over a thin barrel like on the Colt/Umarex?
An0nEeMouse 2 years ago
Its a bull barrel.
IHAntonio 2 years ago
@An0nEeMouse it is a thick barrel.

Troyc20 2 years ago
Not too expensive? You're not 15 and a gun lover.

RogueGoverment 2 years ago
my M&P 15-22 had an allen screw in it if you do get it off be careful it has 2 springs in it

Good work on knowing the name of a video game.. you got a lot to be proud of there

How much was it for the rifle? Cool setup
turayde 2 years ago
Guess a .22 on full auto will be just as effective as a shot gun firing buck shots to suppress enemy fire.
thirty6min 2 years ago
well buckshot is .38 cal (approx) so the .22 would be quite a bit less
GunWebsites 2 years ago
Im not saying the 10/22 is the best 22 out there either but i think its proven it self
bierrum105 2 years ago
thats why i like my 10/22 every type of ammo ive fed it so far it has almost performed flawlessly exept a coulpe fail to fires but probley because of the ammo and its outfitted with a tapco intrafusion stock/tapco sling/tapco vertical grip/BSA RD-30 red dot sight
bierrum105 2 years ago
was that ammo in the clip in beginning?
pleasantcrew 2 years ago
i dont know. but i would use the cci mini mags. i used cheap ammo and it fucked up my m&p 15-22
siccforeal888 2 years ago
.22lr don't use any 'clips'

edit:--mags
:)

GunWebsites 2 years ago
pretty nice. s/w .22lr. but pretty pricey too. just a gloryfied version of the ruger 10/22 i'll bet they are comparable in accuracy and reliablility. but not even close. in price range. huh???? when it comes to .22lr the most accurate one i had was a cheap ass marlin. the most sold .22 in history. but its all in your taste, right? if you got the dough then go bro.
