Easy to laugh when one is onshore..the poor souls aboard! it looks bloomin horrible-crikey, why do these ferries sail in these conditions? maybe it is ''safe'' but must be miserable for those on the wretched thing!
My cousins where on that boat. They lost their tans from it. From the whole ordeal, I think one person broke a finger because of the 2:33 - like waves. the family was pissed that the captain decided to go out in that weather.
@EoThorne: Actually, my grandfather got pretty badly injured on that particular trip. He refused to stay in his seat. Lol. So, he slid into a wall headfirst. :/
A friend just told us about this video, we were on this ferry. It is something I will never forget, my first trip to Grand Manan, we had a great weekend up to this point. I felt very lucky to exit this ferry.
My brother is a trucker and was on that trip..he hasn't forgotten it. He went up in the wheel house to get away from the screams! I would have stayed home. I had company here that weekend and advised them to stay off it...little did I know that John was there!!!
J,ai pris le même bateau le 12 juillet 2009 et il ne fasait pas très beau mais pas aussi mauvais que ce voyage. J'aime beaucoup cet endroit c'est calme et on voit la mer
@collinater360 yeah im from there, graduate of 1997, i've never heard of a death from either VI or V, you hear of people dying more from the fishing boats and its always the same reason, they couldn't swim cuz they didnt know how unfortunately, Is this the "Labour Day" trip that people have plaqued in pics?
Wow, I didn't know someone video tapped that day, this is amazing. If your on this ship the "Grand Manan V" then look inside for the photo's taken of it in either this same storm or another one that they have, it's crazy. Love this ship.
Obviously none of you have ever sailed in the North Atlantic. Been there, done that. Vehicles are normally chained in place for any trip in the Gulf of St. Lawerence.
And because of this, they didn't run yesterday or today I betcha! lol. Because it was the exact same weather.

Because of that incident, they don't sail on days like this now.
