Well, although I think the attendance was 80-100K, the ignorance density was high. It is hard to find a video on Youtube that shows a salient group of protesters. Can you direct me to a video that has a cluster of reasonable, well informed attendants? Until then, I think it would be accurate to say MOST were what I described.

This is a true demonstration of people power. I must say though I'm a little saddened to see so many comments on here regarding race. It is completely legitimate to note that, in an extremely diverse country, only one group was represented. If you want to see a group that is "all one" and "global", I'd suggest attending a healthcare reform rally. There you will see people of all ethnicities and backgrounds.

Crowds stretched from the capitol all the way to the monument, not counting the side roads that were closed down around the capitol because cars couldn't get thru. Amazingly, when the event was over, you hardly saw any trash other than what fell out of the garbage cans. Try to get video of the grounds after the innauguration and see the trash! I'm so proud of these attendees for cleaning up after themselves! Thanks for coming!

Notice they are trying to play with numbers, smoke and mirrors. During the campaign they no one in MSM questioned when Obama rallies said to have millions when it was apparent he did not. Now that the protests are not in favor of Obongo they are trying to play down the numbers.

Remember, some liked the fact he was there, some did not. Now you have an angry crowd of white people who "dislike" what Obama is doing. First of all, "Taxpayers March" implies that you are representing all of the taxpayers. I pay a whole lot of taxes,yet you most certainly weren't representing me. And blacks and hispanics do pay taxes as well, yet they also weren't represented. Secondly, I would like to point out, for the record, the blatant racism of this poster. This is really the heart and soul of this movement. But to be fair, I don't think it's everyone...just the majority.

Excellent question. Self proclaimed Democrats and minorities support the current government. Despite the GOP's attempts to reach out to these groups, they just aren't buying what you have to sell. Conservative policies are bad for their businesses, families, and communities. Frankly, this is true for all races and political affiliations.

This is a true demonstration of people power. I must say though I'm a little saddened to see so many comments on here regarding race. All Americans need to bury the hatchet and come together on these issues. Your future freedoms may depend on it. C'mon people we are all one and this a global fight. It is completely legitimate to note that, in an extremely diverse country, only one group was represented. If you want to see a group that is "all one" and "global", I'd suggest attending a healthcare reform rally. There you will see people of all ethnicities and backgrounds.

Crowds stretched from the capitol all the way to the monument, not counting the side roads that were closed down around the capitol because cars couldn't get thru. Amazingly, when the event was over, you hardly saw any trash other than what fell out of the garbage cans. Try to get video of the grounds after the innauguration and see the trash! I'm so proud of these attendees for cleaning up after themselves! Thanks for coming!

I am not sure just what the hell is going on. CNN shows the crowd is huge, stretching all down Pen ave. Yet on other sites, eye witness, have shots of petty much a crowd on the mall, not much after. CSPAN show the same shot.
I guess there are that many people in near by in the southern states that would show up for something like this. But all of them look pretty well off to me.

Actually, the DC Park police reported 60,000-70,000. I was in the area at the time and that number seemed about right. Big crowd, mind you. But we're not talking hundreds of thousands. Nor are we talking hundreds.
